I checkmated my friend once with a rook and my king when she had her 2 rooks, she made the mistake of giving me a free turn without check and moving her king into the corner

Actually, I use the technique you use at the end also to bring him to the edge. I also use it with the Queen. Daruukh techniques are always the bests.😄

When time is not a factor, I almost prefer to use a rook rather than a queen. I don’t trust myself to not walk into a stalemate.

He always dosent leave a chance for me to tighten when hes trapped in 3 squeares when i move my king up he goes sideweys when i move my king sideway he goes up

You can move your rook to 'waste' a move. Then their King will have to get opposite you.
