K&N 57-3078 performance air intake system is easy to install and guaranteed to increase horsepower in 2012 to 2014 Chevy Camaro with a 3.6L engine. When dyno tested, this air intake created an estimated gain of 13.14 horsepower at 5100 RPM.
This air intake includes an oversized washable & reusable air filter that can go up to 100,000 miles between servicing. K&N air intake 57-3078 also includes a rotomolded polyethylene intake tube with a custom heat shield designed to increase air flow and isolate intake air from engine heat.

The CTS uses the same air box and filter as the CTS-V 6.2L S/C, so I'm not really seeing it being a restriction on a 3.6l NA

Why would you need to disconnect your battery?!?! Unless doing so resets the computer I guess to learn the increased airflow.. but technically it should auto learn and make adjustments on the fly.. Can any mechanic comment on this..

graphicsgod I’m not a mechanic myself.. but I’m very interested in mechanics.. I may have a answer, if u don’t disconnect the negative battery and just install the cold air intake itself.. when starting it, it will pop up the check engine light, which u will have to reset it for 10 or 20 minuets... Note: this isn’t actual answer, this is my possible answer for your question.. hope that helps! :)

D4RK KN1GHT 52 Just did this mod and no engine lights were triggered, nor any issues have happened! If anything it sounds soo good and feels like I have more power due to the increased air flow! I'm not sure if the computer compensated for the increased air flow or not, due to the fact I did not disconnect the battery..

graphicsgod hmmm..but if it theres isn’t a triggered check engine light or anything then ur all good.. but the computer part I’m not to sure about that... my previous answer was a maybe answer for you. But like I said if there’s no engine light ur good to go

yes usually because it may mess any electrical stuff in your engine or something like that. usually when u handle wiring or removing and adding things, disconnecting your battery and waiting a bit is the best way to handle it. if that makes sense. your second question, i think you just need to pull it out. but double check to be sure! hope that helped

Another question, you said just to remove the bottom of the old air box, 2 nuts on top, but what is holding it in the bottom???? I can't get it out..

My car ran great before install and now it will idle inconsistently and stall out shortly after starting. I disconnected the negative terminal during install and my car won't accept new part. CEL also came on for P0102 MAF sensor readings. I double checked that there isn't any loose connections and sensor has been cleaned. Any suggestions?

All K&N intake systems provide a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque with factory ECU settings. This system has been tested to provide an increase of 13.14HP and 14.44 LBFT. Check out the dyno chart on our website kandn.com/dynocharts/57-3078_dyno.pdf

@@KNfilters why should anyone trust YOUR dyno charts ???? Unless the car is tuned for the mod NO one will see an increase in HP.....in fact they may see a decline in performance......... FACT !!!
