First of all thanks for posting this great video. Here is my story. An almost similar story made you think AC Compressor Load but I'd like to give you more details. 2012 Malibu 2.4l Engine was replaced and AC came on and off and then disappeared. At 1st, I thought LEAK... Please let me point out I have basic or less than basic electrical diagnostic skill. 2 days ago, I decided to check for power and ground at the compressor connector after making sure all fuses and relay were good. I found a broken power wire (green) at the back of the connector. I connected the 2 wires temporarily, started the car and switch the AC, the clutch engaged and I could feel the air. HAPPY I FIXED IT, i just need to connect wires well for good. Yesterday, i woke up with this task in mind but since the wire cut at the connector was so small, I went to Chevrolet and purchased a brand new connector. THE BEGINNING OF MY NIGHTMARE NOW. I cut power and ground wire and, despite trying to be careful, I connected the wires to the wrong sides of the connector, not sure, but I had ground and power at the end of the Compressor connector. Plugged it, started the car and fuse blew. Replaced it, tried again fuse blew 2 times more. I tried to plug a bi directional scan tool but it would not connect to the control module; it is as if, my scan tool is not plugged. My neighbor put a wire on the ac clutch fuse to bypass it and I ensure to reconnect the power and ground wire like they are supposed to be. Scantool still can't connect. IM VERY CONFUSED AND THIS IS WHERE I NEED YOUR LEAD. 1- My first thought is AC CONTROL MODULE BURNED DUE (I do not know where the AC control module is located). The AC control panel buttons seems to be working. 2- Could the AC Compressor be burned by the wrong wire connections? 3- Since the fuse kept blowing before we bypass it, I also thought another broken wire but I don't know since compressor clutch still wont engage despite bypass. 4- I get 5V at the AC Pressure switch; could the AC pressure switch be the issue? Can the fuse cause a/c to blow hot air and fan to kick on I changed thermostat and coolant sensor and checked the wires but I haven’t checked the fuse box Also when I remove and put back the battery the A/c will work for a day or so and then the same issue will come back we’re the engine fan kicks on and it stops reading temp and hot air comes on

i have a question if your not getting power to your low ac pressure switch could it be the wire harness

I drive a 2016 Malibu and ever since my first accident (front end damage) my AC is not as cold as it was and occasionally I'll have to add some freon to make it colder again. The dealership didn't find any leaks when they checked it. What do you suggest I do?

what fuse name should you be checking they have some that could be related to cooling but i have no way to be certain. guessing ac comp and ac bfc 10 a red maybe. but also maybe hvac blower, etc.?

I have a 2001 Malibu that doesn't blow cold air when the AC is on. The freon is full, that was checked and the compressor turns on. I use to be a Chevy mechanic back in the late 70's so I know a little about cars, computers in cars has screwed up everything, you can't fix anything without very expensive diag. equipment. I still own my 1970 muscle car and it runs like a champ. I hate new cars!

Hi. I have a 2013 Chevy Malibu. The upper side of the driver seat can only inline backward. The bottom move back and forth as it should. I removed the driver seat and found out that the metallic rotator that moves the upper side of the seat was stuck on one side. Therefore, i removed it completely. Now, i can only move the seat back and forth. But the upper side of it can be incline manually only. The issue that i had was that all of the sudden the climate control turned off. Radio works, charger works, only the middle part; which is the climate control is off. What’s the connection between the driver’s seat and climate control? I checked the fuses and they were fine

The hardest part of any car diagnostics is to find a broken wire.

I gotta say from years of experience...if something isn't working and it's electrical...pure and simple to do a wiggle check and visual check of the wiring.
