This is a 2018 Chevy Traverse review and it is nearly the same as a 2019. It has the high country trim with lots of fancy features. I tell you about some of the pros and cons of the car, talk about some of the details and end up talking about the math with miles per gallon and driving costs. This thing is really big on the inside and pretty comfortable but it is slow. Finally, my hope for you is to consider an electric vehicle on your car search. Many other brands are out there making fully electric vehicles. Chevy does make the Bolt, however. So there is that. I hope this helps!

I live in the UK, I'll never buy a Chevy... but... your videos are just so good - they have Pros, they have Cons and BUTTONS! Kudos to encouraging people to drive EVs, it's where we are all going to be at sometime in the future. Respect is totally due to you for the effort you put in to making these great entertaining videos. Inspirational to us all to make videos about stuff, that people might enjoy and find useful! Thumbs up, A+++++ (smiley face) Ebayer - will watch again. Recommended.

@@TRYtoHELPyou You're welcome. If you ever get the chance, you should totally review either a Volt or a Bolt.

The Chevy Traverse will be my next car but your comments about the High Country emblems every where had me rolling with laughter. That’s exactly why I don’t want a High Country.

Nice! So we got a ford expedition in the 90s. My dad refused the Eddie Bauer one tho, "why would I buy a car with someone else's name? It would be different if they offered to have my name embroidered..... But they don't". I hear you on the high country thing.... So much high country.

Would love to see your take on your Model S at some point. You present unique and valuable perspectives. I briefly looked into getting a F series super duty w/ leather interior like this, but apparently the 6.0L diesel comes installed with a hand grenade under the hood..... Would really like to take a pickup or el Camino ( e-camino?!) and replace the rear axle with a tesla drive train and a large battery under the entire bed :) It will be interesting to see how Rivian's are constructed. If all goes to plan, they'll be stupid successful.

YES! thanks for the good words. The Model S may have a full review in a few months. To tell you the truth though, my wife and i got burned pretty bad by the experience Tesla provided. It does seem over now though and I have pages of notes to talk about in a "buying Tesla used" experience. But i want it to be helpful to others, go figure. Anyway, I had to wait 2 months after picking up the car until all the loan and registration finalized (the sales people just sat on the paperwork/didnt process it). I used to be a fan of the 6.0s when they came out. their MPG was great. The dude up the street was getting 17mpg all the time. The transmission was not holding up for my other neighbor's truck tho. I really look forward to the electric trucks coming but am really sad at the fact that the current big auto companies could be selling them today. And for a profit. Even if its over 100k, they could sell enough to make money. Rivian will do well and teslas truck will be awesome too. Dont even get me started on the conversion idea.. I have a motor home with a 5.9 cummins and a 90 gallon gas tank that is badly in need of a conversion. And i have been thinking about it almost daily.... We need more EVs!

Sorry to hear about your experience with Telsa on your purchase of your Model S. Hopefully the Model S will be all that you hoped for. I too am looking forward to your Tesla video. Maybe you can give us a short teaser video?

Sony ax-33 on the 100mbps 4k setting. Usually keep the exposure set to manual to avoid fluctuating brightness. When editing I let the computer make proxies so I can edit reasonably.

Great video. Your videos are at least 14 1/2 times better than mine. Chicks dig SUV's that's for sure. My chickadoo likes them much better than scars or electric cars if the truth is to be known.

Great video! One side note...you mention having an electric car. I love them don’t get me wrong but what bout all the extra coal burnt and put in the atmosphere to charge those huge toxic batteries. Honestly I think the traverse is far cleaner than the coal plant used to make the electricity your electric car is sucking up. And then the batteries are like nuclear waist. What do you do with the huge batteries when your done?? Anyway...just a thought.

Outstanding comment and opinion. I encourage your "just a thought" transform I to a deep research project. I highly encourage you to measure the amount of what is going where. The toxicity of mining the materials and manufacturing a 600 to 1200 lb battery pack used for 5 to 10 years vs. engine materials and manufacturing and ton after ton after ton of fuel being burnt and placed I to the atmosphere is quite the comparison. Coal fire plants are more efficient than internal combustion engines. Visit your local plant and ask for a tour/efficenty clarification. (bonus, they use the exhaust heat too to unlike internal cumbustion engines //ice wastes exhaust heat) and electrical transfer is more efficient vs oil refining and distribution process. Oil refining and distribution takes a lot of energy. As for the batteries, they can be reused for several years outside of the cars after the range diminishes and after that they can be recycled for much of their materials (unlike the gas we pump in the air). If you objectively account for all of the waste/earth damage (mining/drilling) in every single process you will find that even using coal to generate electricity is less of a negative impact vs. distillate oil (gas). Plus, with electric vehicles you can use different sources such as wind, solar or hydro if you choose. The energy can also be from a local source, not foreign. My local coal plant mainly uses it's natural gas generators, as an example. I ask you to dig deep and not just take online articles/comments of others into consideration. Consider all parts of all processes and you will find that electric vehicles even from coal sources are less toxic and less damage to the planet vs. ICE vehicles of the equivalent size and capability. Please visit your local powerplant, tho. I think that is the best first step.
