I was there from Australia that year and must of only been meters to the left of you mate.. I distinctly remember that... it was right above me and scared the crap out of me. thanks for posting this.. visiting chicago was the best time iv had in my life.

Normally I brush over such juvenile comments, but this time (1 in 1,000) I'm attempting to open a dialogue. It's not my problem. It's the city of Chicago's problem. From January to October of 2023, there have been 2,110 shootings and 522 homicides. On USA Crime I saw a dash cam video of 6 people fighting in the middle of a street outside a night club and a car mowing them down in a car at high speed. Three of the 6 died with one more seriously injured. The author of this thread stated, "Spectacular day , beautiful city, brave men , and so many proud folks having a great time." That's only because they were in a crime-free area of the city enjoying their safety. Violent crime is getting worse and it's expanding into the suburbs. The disease is spreading!

The Left Echelon Roll is almost always followed by the Sneak Pass in the demo, so you know what to look out for and can watch for it

Saw them in Lincoln Ne some years ago. They got you watching in the distance while one comes up from behind and next thing you're out of your skin. I looked over at Dad ( WW2 ball turret gunner ), and he had the biggest grin.

I live in Annapolis. Every year they fly within a couple hundred feet of my house. They use my next door neighbors house on a hill as a way point. We can see the pilot clearly. When my neighbor was young enough to wear a bikini, they tipped their wing above her during practice.

I've seen hundreds of air shows in my career (retired AF crew chief turned WSO) and the Blue Angels have the best low and high speed passes. Thunderbirds have a great show but the Navy must have a lower stage floor during their shows. #5 couldn't have been more than 150 ft overhead and looked to drop closer to the water surface after they passed the crowd.

Anyone see the the last 15sec of the video see the black thing go right by? Look at the end and toward a the top of the video you see a black thing going flying over. To be exact stop the video with 11sec left. I stopped it and took a snap shot and wish I knew how to paste it in this comment. CRAZY….. whatever went by didn’t even make a sound either! Sound!
