Best flyover I ever saw was a C 17 Globemaster with rear deck open and crewmembers seated there, flying low enough over my house that we could see them waving at us. They were doing a flyover of downtown Seattle to honor the healthcare workers during the pandemic. My back deck just happened to be in their egress flight path. Makes your teeth rattle!

A few years ago, on New Years Eve, I saw an afterburner plume fly over as i was shooting off fireworks. They were close set together, two engines, probably a hornet or raptor. No nav lights, so it's most likely a raptor.

@@ShadowRider711 this was from 14 or 15 years ago. It was definitely all F-15’s. Usually the flyovers are based out of reserve unit out of Cape Cod. Not even sure how many F-22’s were in service out of that air station at that time. There’s other videos of same flyover at Gillette to see better angles. The F-15’s are louder than F-22’s in my opinion. These very likely the same F15’s that respond to 9/11 in northeast.

Kinda surprising. In the US, flyovers are incorporated as training ops. This is why the planes you see at events typically depend on where you're at geographically. Not sure why they couldn't send a single A400 or a pair of F-35s from the nearest RAF base.

I didn't expect to break down in tears over this video. 9/11 happened when I was in 6th grade. I'm from New York but had recently moved to California because my dad was stationed at the SEAL base in San Diego. I graduated high school early with a full ride scholarship to a very prestigious law school that i planned on taking, the summer before I was supposed to leave for college I got reminded about how 9/11 effected me and decided one Monday mid summer to go to a recruiting station. On the spot joined the Army. After 10 years of active duty, 2 TBI's, 4 broken ribs, 2 shrapnel wounds, 1 bullet wound and 3 combat deployments later I left service in 2017 proud of what I had done not for myself but for my country. I was proud to be able to give back to this amazing country we live in that allows us to be free in the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness. Recently we have seen people burning flags and trashing the name of their own country in the name of "equality". I have been greatly saddened by this as I'm sure many of us have. Sometimes it really gets me down but when I see stuff like this it makes me so happy, emotional and proud. I feel so proud when i hear people singing the national anthem and I hear those fighter jets streak by full afterburners in a blaze of glory paying tribute to the USA! It really keeps me going hearing the cheers and knowing that a lot of us are still proud and still love our country. I take solace in the fact I'm not the only one that is Proud To Be An American! To the people that were born here as Americans and to the people that have come here to become Americans and are Proud of it! I salute you!

Wow... Thank you so much for taking a bullet for us all! Those recent events due sadden me as well, but we must remember that they are out of sheer ignørance and a lack of understanding. The fact that they're even allowed to express those actions just goes to show just how privileged we are in this country. Don't worry, though. There are tons more of us who are proud of our country as well as people like yourself who keep the whole thing protected! Back in 2012, I started working as a janitor in my senior year of high school, making $8.50 an hour. I moved up to floor tech at $12 an hour, and then I got into machining at $14-18.65 an hour. Then, I ultimately got my cdl and kept moving up from there. I'm now ever so close to making a 6 figure salary with not even a hs diploma (long story, I finished, but failed at the end due to an unfair lack of opportunity). This was all possible due to LORD JESUS CHRIST, and also, the great people in uniform like yourself protecting us to even allow opportunities for such things. Again, I want to thank you for your service, and also, I want to personally thank you for being part of the main reason why I was even allowed to pursue a career that I can not only enjoy, but also to make a great living with. Anyway, I'm sorry to rant so much, I was just inspired by your comment and wanted to show my appreciation. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

@@Bullet44 Hey I really appreciate that. Means a lot! Trucking and work involving a CDL is extremely important and keeps our country moving! I'm all about differing opinions and views and I believe everyone should be able to express whatever they want. Doesn't mean they are all good ideas or should be acted on but conversation is extremely important especially when you have an opposing view or solution to a problem than someone else. Without communication things break down. A marriage without communication ends up in a divorce and a country without communication ends up as a wasteland. Regardless I really appreciate your kind words alot of trolls on the Internet and just miserable people in general so I thought twice about even posting this comment but I have thick skin and am comfortable with myself so I can take the trolls but what really brightens my day is comments like yours so, thank you.

As an Aussie, my greatest dislike of these MAGNIFICENT PATRIOTIC FLYOVERS AND ANTHEM is singers trying to cram as many notes into a single sylable as humanly possible. The "properly" sung US Anthem is the most wonderful, meaningful, heart-felt l Anthem I have ever heard - brings tears to my eyes every time - and the thunder of those Jets - the sound of FREEDOM.

Two best flyovers I’ve seen: closing ceremony of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. As the Olympic flame was being extinguished, an F111C from the RAAF flew over the stadium and commenced a dump a burn over the stadium. It was night and it looked like the flame departing the stadium . The other was the Bi-centennial review in Sydney Harbour on Australia Day 1988. I was at a point overlooking the Opera House down towards the Heads. Could see and hear everything going on. There were 60 odd warships from all over the world, about the same number of tall ships, literally thousands of yachts, pleasure craft and ferries on the Harbour. Just as the Orchestra and choir at the Opera House started playing /singing Rule Britannia 240 aircraft in mass formation from the RAAF, RAN and the Army did a flyover of the Harbour from the heads towards Paramatta. It was magic.

Everybody is proud to be an American when a military aircraft flies over. Well…most. I’m for sure one of them ☝️

Best fly over I ever had was at the river tweed in Scotland, where I was fishing. Away in the distance, I saw something. I thought to myself, that's not a bird.. within seconds, a RAF Tornado scooted past at what I'd say was a couple of hundred feet up. The noise was so loud I dropped my fishing rod and covered my ears. A second later a second came past, and I could see the rivets or screws on the plane. The pilot saluted me, all while I stood knee-deep in the river in absolute shock and awesomeness.

I have to put the armada of #5 first. That was unreal # of planes. Then I agree on your top 2 - anytime 4 jets fly that low in formation, you can’t help but swell with pride & awe…and loudest thing I’ve ever heard (at an air show). #4 is the 3 F-22s one after another, followed by the B-52. The 2 jets on afterburner is #6 for me…so cool at night!

I think for your #4 that the first plane was an F-15, other two were definitely F-22s

Jacksonville has the best flyovers in the NFL. I was at an evening game and they flew over two B-1 Lancers. The quad engines had flames behind them over a car length long. Something about seeing that bomber at night with giant flame cones behind it was glorious!

The 134th in Knoxville did a flyover for the spring Bristol race years ago with a KC-135. The plane was on its way to California with passengers. One of the passengers was able to lay in the boom pod and snap pics as they flew over. Wish i could have seen those.
