Do you happen to know if Jerry Petrusha was the lead singer on this one?

I don't remember what was on the other side, but to my knowledge Jerry was never a member of the Diplomats. His band was Jerry and the Attaches. He was probably one of the best singers, and one of the nicest guys that I ever knew. As best I can remember , the Diplomats were, Tom and Glenn Charvat, Danny Kiner, Mike Price. That is all I can remember for certain. There were one or two more, and the members changed some, but I think that was the main group.

Okay, I just saw a picture of the band and I was obviously wrong about Jerry being a member! There he was in the picture sitting in front of Tom, Glen, Mike, and Danny. My apology!

@@polaris1199 He was with them for 1 year or two. Been trying to hunt down anything on Jerry. He died young and my husband was young when he lost his father so he does not remember much.

@@petrusha217 No kidding! Is your husband Jerry's son? He must be in his fifties now. Jerry lived next door to a girl I was dating at the time and that is how I first met him. I was about 15 or 16 at that time, and I went to school with the Charvat's. I played sax and sang in several local bands, and would occasionally play a dance at St Geralds, which was right across the street from Jerry's house. Jerry would come over and listen, and was always helpful with his critiques of the band, helping us to get better. I left Oak Lawn for the army but got word about Jerry's death after I came home from Vietnam. I was stunned. He was a good kind soul. Jerry must have joined the Diplomats after I left. You might try and chase down Glen Charvat. He may have some information for you. Last I heard he was a music teacher at Northwestern, most likely retired now. Good Luck.

@@polaris1199 My husband is his son. Michael and yes in his 50s. He also has an older sister who is also Jerry's. My husband was born in Boston on one of Jerry's tours with Jerry and the Attaches. Side note. I am from Hometown. So small world.
