Yep, those Infectious Grooves albums are funky as hell and have some awesome bass lines (Violent & Funky is one of my all time favorites...).

Bruce should do this as a hobby. His podcasts are nice to listen to. I think it would be brilliant to see Bruce interview old and young artists. But, we need it in video format.

I would love to hear a new song written the way they wrote on St. Anger .... we know James and Lars can write awesome songs for the band, but i really wish we could hear what the four of them together could make .... something made as a unit. I have always felt it was a bit sad that Kirk and Robert don't get to have much creative input. I realize that James and Lars are fucking awesome with arrangement and structure and lyrically. But it would be a cool project to hear how the four of them together could make something a bit different. Maybe no solos again from Kirk ... but what about layered parts or harmonies or something unexplored? Just curious ... because i feel they have the talent to make that sort of thing together.

The reason St Anger sucked is because they wrote songs that way. James seems to write his best material when he is alone and not surrounded by people and Lars is good at fine tuning it (like he did with the main Enter Sandman riff Kurt wrote, it was his idea to repeat the first part 3 times instead of playing it once). James was too controlling and needed to relax a bit but that hack psychologist they hired went way too damn far by making him write songs around others when he is clearly a quiet introvert despite his stage presence. They should have done what KISS did when they all made solo albums but later mix and match the best parts of them for St Anger rather than James dismissing a lot what others did since it wasn't his vision.

Wow, so Lars had Rob get drunk with him and then make him have to "prove himself" playing some of the bands heaviest stuff, and it had been filmed on the "Saint Anger" interviews, that had been on the "Some kind of monster", videotape. Well, that is what I am THINKING had been done. maybe I am wrong, but I THINK NOT. Surely, back YEARS/DECADES ago, Metallica had been DUBBED "Alcoholica", BUT, ever since the "Some kind of monster" video has been released, the band Metallica is known for James being "CLEAN" of drugs and booze for a LONG time now, and as for the other guys in Metallica, I have NO idea, But, I do THINK they ALL are "family men" and so, they most ;likely are NOT getting high and screwing whores, lol!!! At 1 time, the band HAD been all fine with getting groupies to show them some "lovin" to put it nicely, BUT, as the band had embraced the clean living of Jame's life, it seems that every band member had stopped letting the "groupies" come into their lives, and maybe the groupies had gone along with the "drug use, or boozing"? Rob Troujjio has a son that is also a BASSIST, and his son looks alot like his daddy does. It is adorable. Rob's FIRST concert being at San Quinton JUST HAD TO BE a "trial by fire" type of situation for damn sure! As for JASON NEWSTED, the band had NOT treated HIM fairly, at ALL. HE had CLEARLY earned RESPECT over the time he had been in Metallica, BUT, I do THINK that he had felt as if he had NOT been respected enough, and perhaps he was RIGHT. I do LOVE ROB, and LOVE that he is the bassist in Metallica, BUT, Jason WAS treated badly, and he was TALENTED as F*ck. Maybe, Jason HAD been TOO much of a "leader" to continue as a band member of Metallica that was able to be a "supporting" band member of the band? I just LOVE to hear Bruce Dickinson interviewing members of Metallica.
