I love the fact that he was awake and moving up to the point of getting out the baby safely. He pushed his body enough to do that and then it just shut down.

Even though Casey isn't a father it's a natural response to this your body will push harder until you're safe and whoever is safe then CLICK you'll switch off

It's a normal response when a baby is involved, it kicks up anyone parenting instincts. His parenting instincts new he had to get that baby to safety no matter what it took

Like others said, although this may be a show, your body’s reflex is to save valuable life. Although we are naturally violent, we also have a natural reflex to save.

I've heard that 2 times as a rookie and I asked my chief to send me in I can do it in can save them and I did I became an actual firefighter instead of a rookie after that but I miss firefighting

I’ve been watching Chicago Fire since middle school, I’m all grown up now and it’s still my favorite show, always will be. I feel so connected to the characters in this show, to the point I start crying for them. Lord, we’ve had so many ups and downs.

They are more likely to kill off Mills or any other firefighter then to kill off Casey/Severide. They're the main characters and every other episode's story line revolves around them.

Fire retardant clothing. in short, the clothes firefighters wear can resist getting set on fire so they can jump through flames without worrying about fire getting on them.

Folks: There's now way Casey is going to die. However expect a huge change, maybe him in a wheelchair or him having problems with his eyes. Sadly he won't be the same man he once was, but his family will be there for him. Gabby, Kelly, Shay, Chief, Mills, Herrmann, Mouch, Cruz, Otis, Clark, Heather, Ben, Griffin and Antonio all will be there for him. He'll get throught this. He's a fighter. #TeamCasey #Shaycagofire
