Honestly, if someone referred to my loved one as a coward, I would sock them in the mouth too. But Benny has a point. You can't break when lives are at risk.

@@allengreene9954 that’s my point, sometimes it’s just like total shock where thoughts don’t form. It can be distinct from fear. And even then I’m talking about two things in very rough detail, both could be subtly different for everyone. I mean even taking his words as they were, he said he panicked. Panicking isn’t a sign of cowardice, his phrasing seems off and needlessly provocative

Boden's relationship with Mill's dad was "difficult" but they did respect each other, Benny always had a high and mighty attitude like he was god's gift to the CFD

While Benny was right in his reasoning, his choice of words was entirely wrong and inappropriate. He shouldn’t have called the guy a coward because he wasn’t, he just froze up like people do sometimes. Like how in diving if something goes wrong the diver while start to panic and make stupid choices no matter how brave and courageous they are. He should have just said that he couldn’t issue an award to the guy when his actions led to the death of another firefighter and just left it at that.

Exactly, when he called his father a coward that was BEYOND disrespectful to a brother. You don't bad mouth a kid's hero especially if that hero was his father. Benny needed that punch as much as he needed Kelly telling him Boden was a better father, he needed to get knocked down a peg

I mean maybe another reason he punched Benny was not because he didn't admit Benny was right, but the way he worded it, of course,e he felt provoked. Using the word "coward", if Benny using the right word, Mills probably considers his action

Honestly I really don't like mills right now sure his dad was probably a good firefighter but one bad decision like that can get a lot of people hurt I work at a cement plant and if I ever do anything that is dangerous to myself and to my crew I would be fired on the spot because with working with the type of machinery that I do sometimes you don't get second chances to correct it same thing here
