Come on…seriously?? The difference between the Chicago PD cast and the SVU cast is immeasurable. One makes you feel like you’re witnessing live events as they happen and are gripping intensely emotional drama…the other just seems so detached and contrived and all around cringey. I gentuiwnly want to like Chicago PD, but especially within the crossover events, it’s so blatantly clear that SVU is in an entirely different league.

Of all three of the One Chicago shows PD is actually my favorite. I actually knew about the police extras in PD which is an awesome touch. Southland, The Rookie, and Chicago PD are my favorite cop shows honestly. I love how they use the city as their backdrop and how any Chicagoan has the opportunity to be in the show.

My husband was a policeman and investigator for 36 yrs beginning in 1965. He retired in 2001. We miss Chicago.

I have CPD cop friends. getting a gig on one of these cop shows in Chicago is a big reward program from the Department. It's usually when they do something really good on duty

I saw a couple clips from this show on KZfaq and I was so interested that I decided to watch the show. I really loved it it’s one of my favorite cop shows. I recommend if anyone hasn’t seen it and you like cop tv shows. WATCH CHICAGO PD you will not be disappointed

Marina and Paddy are best friends. And love working and doing scenes together. And as for their ship Burzek they the biggest advocates. Marina also supports the Upstead relationship too.

Blue blood also has New York City’s permission to use real uniforms, squad cars, real police consultants, etc. - no wonder they’re both high quality. IMO both shows are great but very different & I just started binge watched Chicago PD because I found this show in its later years so I wanted to see how it all began and started with season one, episode one and really makes me understand the characters much more and loving it.

Like the fact, they allow them to wear the uniforms that are endorse by the Chicago P.D. I remember my Dad telling me the story that when Jack Webb did Dragnet and Adam 12, everything had to be the same look of realism as it was a real police station and the patrol cars. Even though it was filmed at Universal Studios, Mr. Webb always made it look real.
