I was lucky I got to see them when they first started out in 1968 they were calling themselves Chicago transit Authority That first time in that I saw them July 1968 Saw them outside of Chicago Rockford Illinois. One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen in my lifetime. I was 13 years old at the time.

Chicago is such an incredible band and has endured so much over the years, yet they continually rise above and keep delivering great music. I cant think of another band who has toured continuously for 50 plus years. If there is, let me know. And I don't mean just "together", I mean "actively touring" for 50 + years.

The Terry Kath era was the best! But in respect i think Jason Schiff did a very good job replacing Peter, he had the tenor voice, and sang the songs he did perfect! I just wished that they had found a good musician and vocalist to replace Terry! Don't get me wrong the ones they had like Donnie & Bill were good, but just didn't seem to fit the band!

The fact is when I want to hear Chicago, I play their records from their younger days. The same goes for the Beach Boys; I play their old records with the original members. Music is full of groups that continue to record and perform long after their glory days and the departure of key band members. What remains is nostalgia. It is enjoyable to remember, but it has an element of sadness that can eclipse the joy.

In 1984, Philadelphia Spectrum Chicago 17 last with Peter Cetera, simply incredible blending horns with rock pop. Then 1995 working security at Valley Forge Music Faire near Philly, my first night working had the privilege of Chicago, minus Cetera, Jason sounded great. Always my favorite American band!!

Early 80s these guys were at their peak. Late 60's were also some good songs. But I'm a die hard fan regardless of what music they make. Opening song is the second on their new album which I have had to listen to over again before it kinda grew on me. A lot of their earlier albums that weren't hits are like this one but at least I got Robert, Lee, and James autograph with the CD which was worth it in my opinion.

I seen Chicago several times since the 80s. I haven’t seen this lineup. It’s barely Chicago. I hope they keep the legacy going. But I wouldn’t mind seeing Cetera, Champlin and Seraphin do something! Or even Scheff.

New album is really good - production is really clean/clear. Nice tunes, arrangements and playing. They are better than any of the GMA appearances (although appreciated!) demonstrate. Neil is a great singer. Not Cetera (and I like Cetera), but that's ok with me.

Great seeing Lamm and Loughnane perform today, but as a fan of Chicago from when I was in high school in the early 1970's, this video clip kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bdtxiNKrnNDNnZs.html is for me, the "real" Chicago. Terry Kath was an amazingly talented guitarist and soulful vocalist. He was irreplaceable in the band.

I never thought I would say this. I built an addition on my home for memorabilia from a band called Chicago whom I have loved for decades and I have to say after that performance, hang it up immediately and let us remember you as you were, not as you are. This is absolutely the worst I’ve ever heard from the band. I would have let the lead vocals grab their pink slip that night. Sounds like the opening for the show “Full House” I will always love that great band but I think it’s time to hang it up or swallow your pride and get some of the older guys back in the band for a grand farewell tour. ❤

The early band was one of the most important and influential of my musical journey. But after Terry passed away, they weren't remotely the same band. And since Peter Cetera left, followed by Danny Seraphine they were just a cover band in my opinion. This lineup only has Lee and Robert. A far, far cry from what they use to be. I wish them all great health, but I am so glad I can just put on the original recordings and remember them as they once were.
