English info was incomplete so I did a bit of reading in Spanish as well, apparently the Mataderos (slaughterhouse) district of Buenos Aires used to be called "Nueva Chicago" in reference to the meatpacking industry, and the athletic club dates back to a team created at that time, AND ALSO they have a nickname "Toritos" in reference to a 1930s boxer who was called the "Bull of Mataderos" before the Chicago Bulls were even a thing so that's really fun

a good tip to distinguish Nepal from India is by the red plate seen in 1:30, which would interestingly consist of Nepalese language characters exclusively.

That Asheville guess was mind blowing. I could have looked at that for an hour and still not guessed within 300 miles. Absolutely insane guess. Only thing I would have felt good about was the Zion round. Looked like Zion from the start. Great maps! Lots of fun.

I don't think you want to know what people outside of USA think of Chicago xD Here in Romania we tend to give american city names (Dallas) to our slums. They're not official neighbourhood names except in Vulcan apparently so you can't find them on the map. The most infamous Dallas is in Iași but there's also one Ploiești, another in Tulcea etc. The reason why they're called Dallas is because during the communist times Dallas was one the few american shows broadcasted in Romania, making Dallas synonymous with Wild West. Since slums are chaotic they got the nickname Dallas. One non-intentionally named slum after an american city is Phoenix in Baia Mare. In Baia Mare they're is a former copper smeltery called Phoenix ( it has a 350m tall chimney!) and the area is called after the it

As an Asheville native, I got a chuckle out of seeing my hometown. I 5k'd Zion, would've have guessed farther north in NM (been through Lincoln NF/Cloudcroft, didn't look like that where I was) no comment on the other ones.

To play geoguesser you also need to know your history (I say that since I was a history major). In 1944 African-American sailors were loading ammunition for the Pacific war at Port Chicago. There was an explosion that killed 320 and injured 390. Later the survivors refuse to load more ammunition when no improvements to safety had been made. 50 men were court-martialed in a controversial case. Thurgood Marshall, future Supreme Court justice, was involved in their appeals as an attorney. If you had known the history, you would have remembered that Port Chicago was in the Bay area.

Had that tunnel round 3 on my mind before even starting the map, moment it spawned in I said "I think it's that" and 5k'd in 19s. As for round 5, the thing that did it for me was the dashes on the left turn lane in front of the Prius. Probably a fake meta and not 100% state specific (it isn't), it definitely worked for me here. 5/5 states for me on that one!

These theme maps are fun. I recognized the Zion tunnel as that's where I spent my honeymoon in 2013. Took a picture very near that spot in fact. Good stuff CG.

Canada has both Pizza Pizza and Little Caesers.😂Also PEI has red dirt and some of the pavement usually has a slight red colour to it as you can see in that round.

Been to that Dairy Queen in PEI before! Charlottetown is such a sleepy town so I'm surprised that it would have the busiest DQ location. I love these viewer-created map videos, keep up the good work 👍

I made the first map and I realized I mixed up sabah al Ahmad with sabah al Salem. Sabah al Ahmad is not a top 3 city in Kuwait my fault.

That was fun! I did surprisingly well on the tunnels, my knowledge of US geography is improving (I'm British). Actually beat you on the last round, due to a less bad guess in Germany!
