I live in north Louisiana so going to Dallas is a pretty common occurrence for me. There's a really fun go kart and motorsports complex east of Dallas in Caddo Mills, and I love the Deep Ellum neighborhood in Dallas itself. The Book Depository there is also a very interesting museum.

I grew up in El Paso, moved to Midland for HS, have lived in Lubbock, DFW, Austin, and Houston. My mom's currently living in Kerrville. So, I've seen a lot of the state. When I was in Houston, it was when RedBox was first starting up, and I was contracting with them to stock machines between Webster and Port Lavaca each week. The McDonalds in Galveston at the tail end of I-45 (technically at 517 Seawall Blvd) is easily the most scenic McDs in the state, and quite possibly the nation. TX roads make little sense, even when you live there, so don't feel too bad about getting lost on the map.

Man, you have such bad luck with those final rounds! It's still impressive as always. BTW, good luck in the World Cup. My son and I will be sending positive vibes from Ohio to you in Stockholm!

Even though I'm from MN I've spent a lot of time in Texas. I have a bunch of relatives down there and have been pretty much everywhere in the state. I have always really liked the Del Rio area.

Awesome video as usual. I used to travel to Texas for work a lot, mostly Dallas/Ft Worth, but Lubbock and a few other places as well. In the DFW area I remember massive, tall highway interchanges, the Ft Worth stockyards and a Dairy Queen where most cakes said "Congrats on getting out of prison" (but hey I don't judge.) Been to Austin, which was cool, and Houston, where we stayed in a mall/edge city, as well.

I've only been to Galveston. It was a pretty interesting city, lots of cool history. I'd love to go back to Texas and see more! As for this map, it's a pretty wild one. Getting a quick 5k is super difficult, most of your rounds will be super rural or confusing like that last one lol, you got some great times.

I've only really driven across the Texas panhandle and camped in Palo Duro Canyon State Park. And had a layover in DFW once. But definitely a state I want to see more of! It's so big I've hardly seen any of it

I currently live in the DFW area Grand Prairie to be more pinpointed, but I've also lived in San Antonio back in 2018. I've been through Austin a few times on I 35, but I've never actually been there. I have been to Houston as well.

The last round is where I used to work. If you went south, you would have run into the freeway 121 and probably found the location quicker

A big state that I’ve had lots of experience traveling in. Lots of cool places, but my favorites are definitely Austin and Big Bend.

I've ridden Amtrak (again) across TX, and paid a visit to Dealey Plaza in Dallas right after the 50th anniversary of the JFK assassination. Also changed planes at DFW a few times.

I've been to El Paso, Amarillo, DFW, Waco, and San Antonio. I'll probably go to Texas next year for the eclipse, instead of Indiana or southern Illinois, which would be closer. I highly recommend traveling if possible to see a solar eclipse from the path of totality. I watched the 2017 eclipse from Kaskaskia IL, and it was well worth the trip, even taking ~9hrs instead of 6 to get back because of traffic.

the only part of Texas I've truly been through was on I-40 going through Amarillo, stayed there for a night. I've also had a layover at DFW, but that doesn't really count. Otherwise, I have little desire to go (not too much cool geography, state government isn't great, infrastructure is terrible, etc), although it's likely for the April 8th 2024 solar eclipse I will fly to visit my friend who lives near Austin, which is in the totality!

theres a lot of cool geography actually and the roads are much worse in oklahoma. if you aren't planning on going in february 2021 then you wouldn't be affected by the infrastructure. the news loves hating on texas smh.

I'll probably go for the eclipse too. As for geography and state government, I'm in Illinois now, so Texas would be an improvement.

@@timewave02012 Texas has way worse problems than Illinois. Trans people can actually exist in Illinois...not Texas
