INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 lbs boneless chicken
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
5 cups water
1 Tbsp chicken bouillon powder
1/2 small onion
1 large carrot
1 rib of celery
1 or 2 fresh sprigs of thyme
1 cup long-grain rice
salt to taste

I like to add a little lemon juice to my chicken soups when someone is sick. Just a little after everything is done cooking. Tastes really good! Thanks for the recipe!

Boy oh boy, I wish I'd seen this yesterday...I had some boneless chicken breasts I needed to do something with so I opted for chicken and rice but instead of a soup I made it more like a casserole using a can of cream of mushroom soup along with chopped onion, celery, and garlic. It was good but a bit more heavy than what I was wanting....why didn't I think of this instead??? It looks delicious. Hope you're feeling better.

Thank you for your lemon tea link. I’m making this soup for my brother who has mouth/lymph node/lung cancer. He’s had it twice and his mouth is so swollen and sore that I think this tea will be a great addition to his soup. Thank you, I love your channel! When you cook, you don’t mess around and chat all day. Some people that are really busy. Can appreciate this so much! Your recipes are fantastic, I’ve tried endless ones of yours, and everyone has turned out super. Keep up the good work, sis!

When I was little and stayed home feeling unwell like you, my mom would make me chicken soup. She always bought me soup that was chicken noodle usually the Campbell variety. I always picked up chicken and rice because I prefer the rice but she hates rice so she always got to be noodles. To this day I prefer rice so thank you for the recipe

Filipino dish we make Lugaw which is Chicken, onion, garlic and fresh ginger,Jasmin rice , bay leaves fresh cracked pepper and kosher salt or 🍗 bouillon.. Also garnish with green onion and fried garlic chips on top..

The lemon honey mixture I will just take a full on spoon full when I have a sore throat. I think it taste delicious and I am horrible sick person and even boiling water takes it out of me.

I was up from 4am-10am with just the nastiest cough ever and feeling so nauseous. I just woke up and feel a little better but I'm still miserable and I'm making this now 🙂 I planned on making a basil marinade on chicken thighs that need to go today but I just can't stomach it, so this will do!
