This would be wonderful for if you happen to be feeling under the weather or to put into a care package for a friend who is not well. Thanks for sharing these meals, I really appreciate them all.

With Fideo, you can add red bell pepper. With orzo you can add spinach, with egg noodles you can add carrots. If you can your own chicken and eight ounce jars, you can put one of the jars in the kit for this recipe. Smaller pasta is going to need less water and less fuel to reconstitute. That is something worth making note of if you're making this as an emergency recipe.

Hi Jinne, I love your meals in a jar! I spent the day grocery shopping in town. Boneless skinless chicken breast for $1.99/pound, pork chops for $2.49/pound, ground chuck for $3.99/pound, and chicken wings for $1.99/pound. I like wings because it's food you can play with! I'm considering taking the next step in storing food and ordering from Thrive Life when I get paid next month.

@@eli128564 I don’t know and am not at home to check the box. I do know it cooks in about 10 minutes and I love it! I don’t know if multiple companies sell it or not but a box of Quaker is about $2.50 at Walmart

definitely handy in our survival situation or grid down situation, which we have had here in Florida varying by where you lived during this category four hurricane. And the other thing with the wind in the rain and just recovering from some type of virus it's that good chicken noodle soup which supplies what you need to help heal I do understand it is hot when you make it but I would let mine cool down maybe even add some ice cubes after it's cooked I love soup I can eat it all the time, but in the hot weather which we have 99% of the time and I like mine kind of tepid. These things do come in handy during the situations or any situation. Thank God we have generators and the power did come back on. They told us it was gonna be maybe a day or two, but it came back on this evening after running the generator we lost power at about 830 this morning so another rough day of extremely high wind gusts, and torrential rain. thanks Jinne 🤠🌴⚔️⚔️🇺🇸

Great idea! I do not buy Cambell's etc due to the "Contains Bio-engineered ingredients". My fav is to always have chicken noodle soup on hand for when we don't feel well and this will help! P.S. Your hair is beautiful!
@ohiofarmgirl338411 ай бұрын
I know you’re careful about reading labels but many haven’t noticed that they’ve been eating bio-engineered/GMO food for years and weren’t aware. It’s very difficult to find pre-packaged foods without canola oil, corn, and soy products these days. It’s in so much!

Been doing things kinda on the fly for a while- I used the hand held vacuum sealer / FSaver… on the dehydrated chicken I just tried, both popped back up on the Ball lids - could it/does it need to be a certain pressure created to make a stronger seal?? Seen brake bleeder pumps and then there’s the actual attachment the seal a meal thing- I’m sure it’s stronger suction than the little hand held thing… any thoughts on that? To create a long term vacuum seal… These are just what I been thinking about- the meals in the jar! Very thankful for you sharing with all us! From Tampa Bay ❣️

Question… how do you reseal your atlas jars? I have a ton!
@HomesteadCorner10 ай бұрын
Most of them take a regular canning lid, so we can & vacuum seal those. The ones with the lug lid have a bit smaller hole, and those are great for oven canning or they can also be sealed with an oxygen absorber or vacuum chamber.

Hi Jinny! I'm wondering if that can of chicken could be dehydrated?
@HomesteadCorner11 ай бұрын
You sure could, but I think it would be a lot cheaper to pick up some chicken on sale to dehydrate.

Well you are loosing me with all this freeze dried foods. I don't buy it, won't buy it and to be honest I would like to see more ideas on how to use normal garden veggies or store bought things to make quick meals. Many of us can't afford these expensive freeze dried foods or our own freeze dryers.
@bettyc.parker-young143711 ай бұрын
Just put all the dry ingredients and seasonings that you do have in the jar along with the pasta or rice. Then when you need to cook you can add your chicken and veggies or whatever. It just saves some steps to putting the meal together. I don't have the freezedried foods but will jar the soup mix up, then add the rest.😊👍
