Chicken Piccata is a classic Italian-American dish is made with tender and juicy golden chicken in a lemon, caper butter sauce. Super-easy and so delicious, serve with pasta or creamy mashed potatoes!

The chicken has a golden crust that soaks up the bright lemon, white wine, and buttery sauce. The capers add a nice zip and the fresh parsley adds so much flavor and color. The other thing I love so much about this dish is how easy it is to make. It’s made in under 30 minutes from start to finish so can be whipped up on a busy weeknight yet it’s special enough to serve up at an important dinner!

Just made this chicken piccata recipe and it came out magnificent! You’re right, it was easy peasy, and I will add this one to the permanent recipe folder. Thank you, John, as I was elated with the results, especially since it was our Valentine’s Day dinner. ❤️Just delicious! So quick, as well. AND I had all of the ingredients...! Butter does make everything better.

I watched to see how you did this, as opposed to how I make it. We do it exactly the same. This is soooo good! First time I made it? My DH asked if I would be insulted if he licked his plate. I told him there was more sauce, lol. I usually make with rice, but will now try with spaghetti.

This was super easy, but too lemony at 1/2 cup of lemon for me and my tribe. I ended up adding about 1.5 teaspoons of sugar to overcome the tartness and 4 tablespoons of butter at the end. Not sure if it was my wine that made it so tart? I used a chardonnay. I also added a little bit of cornstarch mixed with cold water to thicken the sauce. I like it to stick more to the noodles. But you are still my favorite chef and I am hopelesssly devoted to my favorite Virgo!
