I have done this. Several times now. A good way to use up left over chicken . Do a couple of bread rolls in the oven so they are nice and crunchy. Extremely easy and quick to do. Perfect for a gloomy winters evening. And absolutely bloody delicious. So definitely a 10 out of 10. Greetings from New Zealand.

Hi Geoff, I live in Penang Malaysia, originally from Manchester. I have followed your KZfaq for quite a while and really enjoy it! I make this soup quite often and always enjoy it! Your soup was lovely made one mistake I put the eggs in to early and was scooping the egg bits out and not the froth just watched again done it right I will give you 10 for that for it being so easy but so tasty give myself a 6 for not paying attention lol I struggle making Thai rice always goes sloppy basmati no problems I will do your omelette one next see if I can find a egg fried rice brilliant x

Hi Tricia its a flavour enhancer. Mono sodium glutamate. You get it on crisps etc. not everyone favourite tho. 👍

I find Tin of Libby's *creamed sweetcorn* 410g and aTin of sweetcorn works well- 500ml low salt chicken stock Tin of Libby's creamed sweetcorn 410g Tin of sweetcorn Half cooked chicken breast - poached Cornflower slurry Two egg whites MSG Sesame oil very small amount Spring onion

Always leave the salt until I’ve served it. It’s a personal choice 😋👍

Sorry Geoff, I can only give this one a 3/10. Reasons for that are that this isn’t the way that western Chinese take aways and restaurants make this dish. Firstly, the corn should be creamed corn, the one in the can, not whole corn kernels, the spring onions are only there as a garnish and put in at the end of cooking the soup. Pepper should be added when cooking, not after it’s served. Finish off with a dash of sesame oil which is added to the bowl of soup at the end after dishing out. The chicken should not be re-boiled as this can make the chicken go dry. You need to poach the chicken, then shred it, as you did in the video, then put it in to the bowl and pour the hot soup over it. Good try though. We have a western Chinese takeaway here in thailand and your welcome to come down to see us any time you get back here. Have a good weekend.

Well thank you for your honest feed back. Im not a Chef, I’m just having a go. It tasted ok to me, but room for improvement. 3/10 is a bit harsh though. Good job i added MSG. otherwise it could have been 1/10 😂😂😂😂😂😂

@@geoffcarter you should try it Geoff it turns a soup into a more robust meal . My fiancee also adds wan tans rather than noodles. We disagree as to which is better.
