OMG I HATED THE "going inside people" EPISODES EVERY SHOW SEEMED TO HAVE! i found it disgusting as a kid and you know what i was right 😭 I don't wannna see the inside of the human body, that shits supposed to stay INSIDE

omg i have the same exact "eaten alive" fear, and several distinct memories of my own from childhood media. it really is so prevalent in children's media, how bizarre😭

this is very validating because i had the exact same fear as a child and was constantly distressed by the amount of kids shows with the "going inside someones body" trope. like... every show?? really???? i was so upset watching that wizards of waverly place episode, lol. like i vividly remember the day that episode came on tv and it actually genuinely ruined the entire show for me........ ;-; (also there are actually four magic school bus episodes that involve going inside someone!! - a second one where they go inside arnold but actually wasn't too bad, and one where they go inside ms frizzle that actually was the scariest one imo 😭)

Dude I loveeeeeeee Crashbox it scared me a little too but I still loved it and tried to watch it whenever it was on! But to this very day it freaks my brother out so much he refuses to watch it AT ALL and we are entire adults now.

As a kid I really hated Mr.Meaty on Nickelodeon and any other kids tv shows with puppets that resembled or were parodies of humans. They creeped me out.

as a kid i was weirdly terrified of jumanji. the moment robin williams sank through the floor i literally started crying. my dad said to me "really? jumanji??" like he couldnt believe this was the movie that did it. i was also very scared of the fact they were trapped in a house with wild animals, that got to me. i also really liked robin williams as a kid and he was in a lot of other movies i watched at that time that weren't scary (RV was like. prime cinema to me back then). i think seeing him in peril like that made me scared! i had seen some other stuff that SHOULD have scared me but did not. i think jumanji was one of the first times i had seen cgi peril that didn't look totally plastic or fake. the suspension of belief was totally there, i knew it was just a movie but it was effective enough to still feel scared.

My mom wouldn't let me watch Courage the Cowardly Dog as she thought it was ugly, but I secretly loved the show. When she was in the other room or somewhere else I would watch it, however when I heard her coming I would quickly switch to something like nickelodeon. Due to this channel swapping, some episodes I never got to see the end of. It is these episodes, the ones I never finished, that still haunt me to this day. Also I'm kinda surprised that you didn't mention Osmosis Jones (2001) in this video, disgusting movie. Also there is a scene in Brothers Grimm (2005) where a kid is cocooned and swallowed alive by a horse, deeply disturbing.

Courage the cowardly dog, Sabrina pokemon episode and the scarface episode from 90s batman animated series. I'm always reminded how dark 90s/2000s kids media is when I instinctively try to recommend it to siblings and then i watch it back and think never mind

You're so right about Flapjack, it's still a show that had a lot of those spongebob realistic close ups😅those were real gross For me it was that one Johnny Test ep where there was a bunch of bugs on his skin?? They were shrunk and the twins were explaining how these tiny bugs just live on ppls skin😵

3:13 Haha. The character who falls into the mouth of the worm is called Carmine and it was a ongoing joke throughout the first and second game. It was like a Kenny death from South Park. But instead of him coming back from the dead, it was like his brother in the sequel. But really? Gears of war? I don’t know maybe because my mind was so into this game when it came out.

I had “childhood trauma” from some rugrats episodes too, but it was more of just an overexaggerated fear of mine. The first was the episode “Down the Drain”, which just scared me for no particular reason. The second was “In The Dreamtime”, due to it’s psychedelic themes seen during the dream sequences. And the third was “Real or Robots”. I saw the show a lot on blocks like The 90s Are All That block back then. Those don’t scare me now, obviously. We were all scared of something as kids.

I haven't thought about that All Grown Up episode in at least 15 years. I remember feeling off put by it because it involved (simulated) body horror.

I believe most of the shrinking and going inside episodes of childrens shows were mostly based off of the 1966 film fantastic voyage! My most fav movie ever, and was very influential !!! It's an interesting film, yet horrifying. It scared me as a child, yet its stayed my fav movie throughout my life :]

I HATED EPISODES LIKE THESE AS A KID!!! why were they so common?!? i remember loving mona the vampire and on the dvd i had one episode was about salmonella (with cooks called sam and ella) and they have to go inside someone thru their ear and it was VILE i couldnt watch it because it made me feel so uncomfortable

1. seeing the bus go into the scab of blood was AWFUL my jaw literally dropped WHY WOULD THEY DO THAT?? literally why the fuck would you do that. not only was it a disgusting visual, they had Ear (not ideal but still better) and nose (gross out humor funny to kids or something, best choice). ive never actually seen an episode of this show and it seems thats for the best ❤ 2. i dont remember any rugrats content scaring me But, the klasky csupo animated logo at the end of all the episodes scared the everliving shit out of me and gave me years of nightmares. and its only the splaat logo, none of the other ones ever bothered me. i Loved the shows but the logo? had to change the channel or turn off the tv the second an episode ended 3. the comment that says "CRASHBOX MENTIONED, WE CHEERED!" is everything. i watched all of the other kids shows they showed at the time, sure, but crashbox was The Shit. i felt the same way you did, it could be unnerving sometimes but it was incredible visually at All times. i would get up at 10am whenever i could (weekends and sick days) to watch it. i specifically hated that submarine segment because i could Never figure out what they all had in common. i always felt like was probably one of their easier ones, too..

I was also terrified of the episodes about being inside of someone, my mom took me to one of those human museums once.... 🥲 I tried to be brave but I started crying in the middle of the visit lmao
