This video shows the various steps involved in a child's eye test . Optician (Optometrist) Brian McKeown examines Frankie's eyes and discovers that he is short-sighted (myopic). A pair of new glasses will help Frankie read the words on the school black board. Eye tests for children are FREE in the UK. 1 in 5 children have an undiagnosed eyesight problem in the UK.

My 11-year-old nephew has just been told that one of his eyes needs strengthening, so will need to wear glasses for a year, after which he will be able to stop wearing them. I s this possible? I thought wearing glasses for a year messes up your sight forever.

Do optometrists in the UK, not use phoropetor machines? Every UK optometrist video, has them using old school frames and in and out lenses.
