Childs and Co. Lathe

It is a very functional little lathe with some nice features that may have been ahead of their time. Love the fat, flat compound. Very common classic design turn of the 20h cty. Looks like a miniature version of the slide and compound on a Harrington I used to use (56 inch swing gap bed). The width gives large bearing surfaces and rigidity.
