2 cinnamon sticks (preferably Mexican) or sub-ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons Kosher salt
2 chipotle peppers in adobo
2 cups (or more) of vegetable broth
1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
2 garlic cloves, minced
