If you look at the map, you will see that the disputed region is beside the Philippines and very very far from China. The disputed region is rich in oil and natural resources which is why China wants to claim it even if it's very far from the mainland.

They made India do agriculture and then take it away. causing a massive famine every week. 2: Plundering of India's natural resources The British forced Indians to mine all the natural minerals in their country and carry them to the ports to be shipped back to England every day. extremely dangerous jobs, and these poor Indians weren't fed, and hundreds of millions succumbed to the exhaustion. The whole of India was ruled by only a handful of Britishers. Why India chose to never fight back baffles many to this day. Maybe India is just obedient by nature.

The US is in a process of weakening India. It cancelled or halted drone and engine agreements with India on trivial accusations. On the other hand, the US and China were allies during the cold war. They mend their strained ties recently as US surrendered to China by gifting Taiwan to it. The US always aim to destroy Russia and it need China on their side to achieve that goal.
