First, we leased this port, not through aggression or unequal treaties. Second, we will build this port and improve the port’s infrastructure for free, which means that when we return the port to this country, it will be a usable port, rather than a "disused port." Third, this is a completely voluntary and equal transaction. There is no persecution by one party on the other. Fourth, we will not bomb you with our allies because you do not sell me oil.

While I understand the game China is playing, I find the concern of the West for Africa as rather shallow and fake. It's not so much that the West cares about African people but rather feels threatened by a new rising player.
@hihihui1
@hihihui1 3 жыл бұрын
Well said. The west has never cared for the welfare for other countries or its people. It’s always had agendas even before the rise of Russia and China. Only now this “concern” for Chinese expansion is a last ditch and desperate effort to hold onto what little power they have left. Honestly I feel China as a world power might be a nice change. At least they don’t go around invading countries for oil. Fuck USA.

You rather they ignore it? Even if it's shallow and fake it's better than nothing. Man 1: "Aww, you idiot, you fell in the quicksand. Gimme your hand before you drown and get me in trouble." Man 2: "No, I don't want your help. You don't really care about me."

@@hihihui1 Lol..they just militarized the whole South China sea, relentless provocations against all nations in the seas around them, threaten Taiwan with war almost on a weekly basis, and rekindled the conflict with India (where people died) just last year--not to mention what it's done to its own people. Is it as bad as the US invasions, no. But this situation isn't a "I like China" vs "I like the US" predicament. Both are quite flawed, but also have positives IMO. And if you take the position of "Country A: Good,, Country B: Bad", you're seriously missing so much about geopolitical dynamics.

Finally someone read my mind, US is getting stupider and only focus on some problems in the world and distracted by their own issues, lol it’s so easy for me to see desperate people gel for each other, Most African Countries are desperate for help because they’re poor and China desperate to spread their power because they have money, I can predict all this things cause it’s so easy, and US is racist enough to not help African Countries at all, and this is why everything happened like how it is, I knew long ago debt will be Chinas Weapon, their main goal are easy to see, they want to be the world’s super power along with Russia and spreading communism, if they can advance to Africa, geogically its close to the US, and Europe, and to surround them, while US military only go around the Ocean, US don’t think about The Land like South America and Africa Continents where enemies can go close to the Western Countries, While Russia Surrounding Europe and US from the North and Continent of South America, Russia and China trying to control these land to get back at the US, they can build a nuclear missile in Africa/South America close enough to hit these western countries, not because China just is rich, The pandemic really is a distraction of the bigger picture of what is happening in China and by the way don’t be RACIST because I say all of these Ok. Chinese governments and Russian Governments are the one who did these not the people

Heck the US did this to Colombia as well. they funded a separatist movement in Panama which 130 yrs ago was part of Colombia, the rebels decided to revolt and demanded the province of panama become a sovereign nation which of course the US supported that decision. In return they offer Colombia some tiny islands off the coast of Nicaragua (which in those days was not liking the USA ways of doing business) they proceeded to built the canal and told panama they will own it for 99 yrs as well, The rest is history.

With my limited knowledge on this topic , I have friends in Jamaica who expressed concerns about a major tollway system that was built by them. Improved traveling across the country no doubt, beautiful and well designed, I've driven on it. The general concept to me is they are gambling on these countries which are notorious to have corrupt political leaders, Jamaica's politicians are beyond corrupted and it's no secret. Therefore, the gamble pays off when the loans are heading towards default and in Jamaica's case, they have lost control over one of it's major ports. Lands surrounding the tollway is also up for grabs and unfortunately there will always be someone corrupted enough that can be bought in order to make the land grab much easier. To be fair, Ch!na has benefited the citizens in many life saving ways, offering various affordable pharmaceuticals, affordable food items etc. Quality can always be debated but this is a country where many have little options when it comes to every day survival.

Especially China It's like you people plugged your ears the whole video. China uses debt to coerce and blackmail countries into giving up information, taking certain positions in the UN, and publicly defending China in order to make China seem less evil in the world's eyes. They take natural resources and ocean docks. It's disgusting. It's turning African countries into slave countries, just like Europe did in the 1800's

The real question should be why did the security team not catch these from the start, these are pretty routine processes in IT security. The issue with Kenya's railway is simple. 1.We needed the infrastructure to support development. 2. The Chinese segregated themselves from Kenyans but we would have segregated ourselves from the Chinese workers all the same. 3. They built the railway because if it had been left to Kenyan contractors they would have inflated the price and cut corners on build quality In short it's better to hand over our ownership to the ports (if we default) but still have a chance to continue developing than to wait for the west to give us high interest loans and still own us. And lastly, don't forget that currently most of the major European ports are partially Chinese owned

I'm a little late to comment on this topic presented by Johnny. The fact remains is that since their colonial master left after years and years of exploiting these African countries, they left behind civil wars and corrupted war lords. The colonial masters, of serious racism mindset thought the black people are just low life no better than the slavery time. So the masters had never built much decent roads, schools, hospitals, power lines, tap water system, sewage system, let alone industrial developments. Then comes the Chinese who just want to do business on mutual benefit basis based on contract terms and conditions. Unlike the colonial masters holding a gun pointing at the black guy's head, the Chinese are much civilized to negotiate on equal basis. Just because the Chinese seems to be doing a good job over there helping each other for better live. Some jealous by-standers are picking things like some kind of expert? @@hlgstowig9405 it literally doesn't matter. if the valuation of products are identical and the buying power is the same then the actual comparative value of nominal quantities of different currencies means absolutely nothing. if it costs $6 CAD or AUD to buy something thats $4 USD or 3 GBP or EUR, in each respective country and $6 CAD/AUD = $4 USD = 3 GBP/EUR, everyone is paying exactly the same price and the currencies and goods will continue to be interchangeable relative to its international value. if the average australian makes $90,000 AUD / year and the average american makes $30,000 USD a year when the currencies are $6 AUD = $4 USD, the average australian is making 2.2x more money than the average american. if things cost 2.2x more in australia, then the spending power of the australian will be the same as the american. P.S. i originally wanted to use $60,000 AUD as an easy in your head comparison, knowing it was slightly low, and $30,000 USD thinking it would be extremely low, then i checked and the australian salary is actually $90,000 and the us salary was pretty much correct. americans are just poor lol. also the exchange rate i used was slightly off because i was using pre covid numbers. its actually $6 AUD to $4.6 USD. i dont think things are 2.2x as expensive in australia as america (they are more expensive, just not 2.2x) so the buying power in australia is higher than america, irrespective of the value of the currency. that means an australian travelling to america with his AUD will be able to buy a lot more than an american travelling to australia with their USD.

Glad to see so much insights from local Africans in comments. Westerners tend to have negative view about whatever we Chinese do overseas. Nothing is good, good thing has strings attached. Never understand the concept of Win-Win. Debit trap? LOL, we come as business man, negotiating for terms and contracts, if anyone not happy about it, we leave.

I really like your videos. Great contents, great editing. For China related issues, I'd like to recommend "the china show" a channel on KZfaq, they understand the inside and out of how the ccp works, as well as why you would have thousands of comments supporting ccp and upvotes of those comments. Shampoo strips your hair of natural oils which-when in balance when you stop shampooing- (it can take a few weeks or even months) leave hair naturally soft and healthy. You have to do it gradually over time to make the transition. Even if you only wash your hair once a seek, that's a start.

Building a reliance on Chinese goods so they become economically locked into a relationship with China. 3. No one said they were kind you scripted bot, those countries didn’t want western help they were left to develop on their own, and even if they got help it wouldn’t be free but you same bots would still go spamming 4.
