That chin spin wheel needs new bearings. They use incredibly cheap unsealed bearings. The dust ruins them in short order.

Hello again my dear! Excellent video! Also wanted to add that people can use wheel braces to help stabilize their wheels .... pandamonium pets make them for their wheels upon request. They will also make other wheel braces even if it isn't their wheels to help stability and reduce the noise of the cage... I do want you to know incase you hAvent seen yet, but pet revolution just rolled out their new chin wheel and it has ridges 🤦‍♂️...that is extremely unsafe for chinchillas as ridges in wheels are a known case of bumble foot as kaytee found out when they rolled out their silent spinner for rats and hamsters......definitely not safe. Their products are also being investigated in links between the way they anodize their wheels and ledges and lead poisoning...I'll keep you up to date on that.... Hope all is well with you!!! Oh my god! I havent see the pet revolution wheel yet but definitely ridges would not be good! Also, the wheel braces are a good idea! I will need to make a part two to this video 🤔

Chin Villain i have it written down if you need to delete that thank you I will shoot you an email once the holidays have settled down and passed ...definitely make a part two about wheel braces they are a lifesaver!! So my 12 chinchillas for Christmas got a couple new wheels from Pandamonium pets and most of them got add-ons to their nation cages. I now have five triple nations and two double nations LOL

Thank you so much. I only want to give my chinchilla a wheel during his free time! I'm afraid he will GET FAT! He freeroams my house and basically only gets oats for a treat. Hay and of course pellets and dust baths too.

Hello! Just got my chinchilla the Kaytee wheel, and she is a smaller chinchilla, when she runs inside of it she doesn't curve. She doesn't have it in her cage, and whenever she uses it at playtime she is supervised! Should I continue using it or ask for a bigger one?

I do not believe Kaytee makes any safe wheels for chinchillas unfortunately.

I don't currently own chinchillas, but based off this info I think I'd probably skip the wheel if I ever got chinchillas. But, if I did get a wheel, it would probably be the second one you showed in the video (Pandemonium pets or something like that?) As it seems hardy, silent, and cheaper than the other wheels!

@@cupcake5000 Many breeders will actually sway you away from wheels. I think wheels are a case by case decision. It needs to be right for the chinchilla. The chinchilla cant abuse the wheel. AND yes PandamoniumPets is known for their wheels for sure!
