Btw on the Joker wrenches, the 6 point is designed to hold a nut and feed it into a tight space, that's it. If you don't want to use the feature, flip the wrench over. Overengineeered a bit. I actually prefer those because they bite and slip very consistently, but I do agree my 198x era MIUSA Craftmans probably have a better max grip, once you get the wrench positioned correctly.

The crap tools go on deck. Of course, I also have crap tools I can't lose in a hurricane, but I did lose a vanadium chromium screwdriver my late dad had owned off the stern at haulout undoing the mast stays. I made a fishing pole at spring breakup, rigged a Dyneema line and a big magnet and got it back first strike. I did a single stroke with an SOS pad and she was good to go, but now has a hole drilled and a little lanyard. The good tools get lubed and CRC'd and Boeshielded. The crap tools, less so.

I actually use and really like my joker. I work in entertainment construction so my days (nights) regularly consist of playing Lego with unistrut. If you gotta pull a bolt out of a spring nut while holding 80 pounds of speaker while overhead, the nut holding open end is super useful, especially while in tight confines.
@jarphabib4 жыл бұрын
I actually used the hell out of my Joker wrench back when I was running a lot of conduit. Sometimes you gotta reach a nut on the inside of the unistrut and the regular angled open end wrench can't get it from one way or the other, but the straight on option with the Joker would get it. And I used the nut holding feature fairly often too.

I love the Irish and Scottish accents! 👍 Craftsman will always have a gentle place in my heart and memories, from when I grew up fixing lawnmowers, my dirtbikes, and my Oldman's work commuter cars. My Dad had Craftsman at the house, and Snap-On at work. He gave me all his tools and now I use anything that makes sense; and hopefully, doesn't break! Unfortunately for Craftsman, it seems quality has gone way of the Dodo! I'm not saying they're doo doo, but the attention to detail is not there anymore! I currently use mainly my older Craftsman and plenty of Proto Professional, and older Snap-On. I do have other brands like OTC, Mayhew, and Mastercool. I have older Plomb that predates Proto too! I really like the older Plomb tools and historical Snap-On. As long as your tools hold up to the rough usage, and don't break, you should be fine. Take care brother.
