This looks like paper trading, nor physical purchasing primarily. While physical purchases have increased, a pullback is in process; silver fell below $26 and gold below $2,300 as of May 2nd, 2024.

The Shanghai exchange is also closed this week because of some Chinese holiday? Free reign for the Comex and western banks to tamp down the price w/o competition. We'll see May 6 when the markets re open?

Great video Alan! It the thought of all the metals getting sold right now due to hardships and it flowing east is disheartening. I feel like with every ounce leaving the weaker we become as a nation ahead of the storm thats coming. Great pic at the end, it would be awesome to meet Mike in person one day, one of a kind.

Thanks. Chart @6:20 👍👍 just to add...i believe a twin crash will occur prior to year end combining magnitude of GFC + Asian financial crises...then the line in the chart will shift drastically toward Asian buyers and gold prices will shoot up...but most likely the effect will be felt next year...

What has my jaw on the floor about the chart at 5:55 is it shows that all of the gold demand during the massive bull market between 2000 and 2011 was private demand. But today we have massive and ever inclining government demand. When the private demand comes back... need I say more?

The East West gold chart has to be wrong. Gold has little industrial use & about 3000 tonnes is mined each year, so the total holdings should go up, even if the ownership between East & West changes.

There will be no global reserve currency. There will be mutual settlements or how you call it when country does not have to buy foreign currencies to trade and can import only the same amount of goods as it exports.

i have a question, about the future taxation proposal of up to 40% on metals,, if this law becomes valid, then how profitable buying gold/silver could be if the government will be eating most of the profits, or saying in another way the future price of gold is guaranteed being devalued by high taxation... , meaning to really use them, as a hedge then a huge amount of it is needed to really worth it.... maybe I'm looking things in a wrong way, so any feedback is highly appreciated!

ive been putting all my wages, after bills of course, into gold ETFs, sure its not physical stuff, but i dont mind, at long as it follows the gold price which will only go up ill be happy, better than just keeping cash in a savings account thats will get eaten by inflation, plus my aim is to wait for the GOLD DOW ratio to drop to 3-1 or less which i hope happens by 2030, and swap my gold ETFs hopefully when gold will be US$5,000+ and swap it into dividend stocks that will be much cheaper after the coming crash, thats the aim.....

Unfortunately any type of precious metal or metals would be expensive in the United States now. Because of weaponizing a dollar in a lot of places can turn down US currency so any type of metal would be any type of investment in the United States. In the sense of the quote gold is for Kings, silvers for gentlemen, trading is for the peasant, debit for the slaves.

You undermine your credibility if you use statistical tricks. Chart east vs. west gold reserves „compare the size of the bars, they are almost the same size“ that’s only true if you ignore the fact that the blue bar doesn’t start at zero. It basically hides 15000 units. Please try to do better next time.

How are you calculating newly mined gold purchases vs the selling of stored gold bullion? This info does not necessarily indicate an OUTFLOW of gold from the west, it can be interpreted as the acquisition of newly mined gold going extensivley to the east, whereas not much buying of newly mined gold in to the west.

The problem is Russia is not going to stop, so funds will be needed to protect Ukraine...using Russia money is a better option then using my money. Long tern this could unite countries against us, but they have been against us for a long time, in good times and bad. They will not be our friends, we should focus on ourselve and not try to appease our adversaries...they are not trying to appease us
