On the solid advice from a friend that has 400k investment in an ETF here in Canada in silver suggested I take out my retirement of 180k and do the same as him and invest in this ETF. That was 3 almost 4 years ago that I did this. I am down 75k. This silver investment has turned out to be a nightmare. My friend says,just be patient. Well, my patience is running thin. He said it was a sure fire thing when I took this out. He said the bank wasn't making me any money. Well needless to say, I am in the bloody toilet now. I have lost half of my retirement money. Silver is bullshit. I don't believe anything all of you pundits are saying about how silver will go up huge. It's a bloody lie. Regret big time ever getting into this. I have max pain for silver at 29$ for 8/27/2024 options on futures expiration. We are close to a local bottom in my opinion. Dip buying for futures traders imo. Also ES mini 500 I get max pain 5450 for 9/20/2024 expiration. So they are about done as well

I think the move in the gold and silver miners will be epic, starting around the Fed's July meeting. Base effects won't allow for inflation to fall fast enough and the world knows the Fed will cut in September... Silver is taxed by VAT in Europe. That means it's a loss of 20% at purchase. Gold in not .

When silver goes up and Chinese investors are long in the gold/silver futures they immediately raise the margin requirements to force liquidation on those futures causing a big price decline in gold/silver and a loss of momentum. It's the same tactic used by the CME in the US to end bull markets in precious metals. Eventually gold and silver will rise, but it will take a move from the BRICS to finally end the dollar as the world reserve currency. At that point everything will have to be backed by gold and we could see gold at 40,000$+ and silver at 1,000$+ after decades of manipulation. And for people that say "you're crazy, no way they'll go that high" then you haven't seen the amount of debt (ie money) that must be backed by gold. And btw bitcoin went from 200$ to 70,000$....never forget that and I bet if somebody in 2012 told you bitcoin would go to 70,000$ you'd have thought they were crazy.

From what I have witnessed happening over the last few years with Gold and Silver is that if conflict or war is imminent then the price goes up quickly. If there is some sort of market crash like in 2020 then the price falls significantly as everyone sells. I usually buy and sell on this basis which has worked well. Unfortunately I went against my own criteria when buying Silver in April when the price of silver was high and I listened to Mike who said that Silver was going to take off from here. I like Mikes channel but his main objective is to get you to buy more.

I'd like to be able to take a look at the two charts and come up with that ratio for myself, thereby helping myself both to be reassured that I've made the wiser decision and also to know when to buy or sell at any particular period....
