In today's Chinese listening practice, I'm going to introduce to you what do Taiwanese people do for Chinese New Year.
* Here is the key vocabulary --
Traditional Chinese with ZhuYin 注音
1. 過年ㄍㄨㄛˋㄋㄧㄢˊ - spend time on Chinese New Year
2. 除夕ㄔㄨˊㄒㄧˋ- New Year's Eve, the night before the lunar New Year
3. 吃團圓飯ㄔㄊㄨㄢˊ ㄩㄢˊㄈㄢˋ- to have family united meal
4. 發紅包ㄈㄚㄏㄨㄥˊ ㄅㄠ - give out red envelope
5. 穿新衣服ㄔㄨㄢㄒㄧㄣㄧㄈㄨˊ- wear new clothes
6. 出國旅遊ㄔㄨㄍㄨㄛˊㄌㄩˇㄧㄡˊ- travel abroad
7. 打麻將ㄉㄚˇㄇㄚˊㄐㄧㄤˋ- play Majong
8. 初一ㄔㄨㄧ First Day of Lunar New Year

this is made in 2020 and no bo po mo fo in the videos. Now I am confused i figured it was older vids. harder for me to look up the words now...grrr and pronounce them with you....lol. oh well. but at least on the bottom but harder to follow along like the pin yin users.

I know this is kind of random on an old video, but I'm here as I have the thought. When I think to say something in Chinese, even with words I'm quite familiar with, I have to go through the sentence in my mind, to recall all of the tones and how to say them, before I speak. It makes it really difficult to hold a conversation. Is that a big problem for most learners? Is there any good way to get past it?

首先要祝妳歡迎回到台灣。妳的出國旅遊玩得怎麼樣？很開心,是嗎。過幾天就要過年了。我的兄弟姐妺就要在除夕團圓了。很開心會跟他們一起吃團圓飯。初一才向父母發紅包。又有親戚朋友到家拜年。這裡過年的公共假期只一天而已😭。我也喜歡看舞獅表演。這裡沒有人打麻將的。妳會打嗎？。我才知道有這種遊戲，刮刮樂。那刮了之後，會發現什麼呢？🤔 🐭🐁🐀
