------------------------
As promised, my goal is to teach you the real Mandarin that we actually speak in 21st century. In Taiwan, we use these two end sentence particles all the time at work place or in everyday life conversation to soften the tone, to give out information, to point out mistakes.
Taiwanese Mandarin truly represents the Taiwanese culture which we tend not to offend people, we tend to speak with a cheerful tone to maintain good relations or not to hurt other's feelings.
This speaking tip is going to make you sound like Taiwanese and also shorten your distance with your Taiwanese colleagues or friends!

Hi miss Lin., i just learn about ur this vlog and im starting to like it. I prefer to learn taiwanese mandarin coz i live here.,its just that the sound is inconsistent. Sometimes its so loud and sometimes i cant hear. Thank u😊
@Goodmorningroosterlive
@Goodmorningroosterlive 4 жыл бұрын
I'm a musician so I know what you are talking about. Compression. This takes your louder sounds and makes them a little bit quieter. And it takes your quiet sounds and makes them a little bit louder. It brings everything closer together in volume a bit more. Compression is part of the post processing step. Once you record a video or audio recording, a step after that would be called post processing. During this step you could easily run the audio through a compressor on your computer. There are other ways to use a compressor but the computer with the correct software can easily compress audio. This host is a language teacher so she obviously couldn't be expected to know about recording and post processing. So we should all just deal with it because the video is really good.

Depends on the context and who you talk to. Like the example in the video, doctors in Taiwan either make or female often use 喔 when talking to patients especially children or elderly to soften the tone. For example 要吃藥喔 remember to take the medicine:)
