Moreso, Bentley has stiffer suspension because it's a performance luxury car... Bentley used to be performance version of Rolls Royce. Stiffer suspension resulted into that glass cup vibration. Do 100mph and corner with that hongqi and let's see if it remains on the road

Anyone who has a basic understanding of the physics of the spring-damper system, and specifically its natural resonance frequency, understands how this type of test can easily be rigged to show anything you want: just match the vehicle speed and bumps distance to either hit or avoid the resonance frequency of your suspension setup and voila !

It wasn't simply hydraulic, it was hydropneumatic and so good that Rolls-Royce licenced it, the Xantia Activa who had the last "true" hydropneumatic suspension still holds the record for the fastest moose test with 85 kph to this day, beating much newer Porsches, McLarens and other high performance cars.

you can easy rig test like this just with tyre pressures, yet alone adjusting where any hidden weight is, to upset the front vs. rear suspension rate. I do like the part at ~34sec showing that after the "test" Hongqi had MORE water above the red line after the test than before the test, if we are to take images of the glass's at face value.

If you punch a skinny person and if you punch the same punch to a fat/bulky person, it'll do different amounts of perceived pressure on each. You get the drift?

Passing this test is possibly pointless anyway. Depending on what you want in your ride. A tighter suspension will perform better at speed and agility, but worse at keeping water in your glass when driving over speedbumps. My mom's old Buick century would've aced this test.

No, it won't, because Rolls Royce actually licensed the hydropneumatic suspension from Citroen. A Citroen and a Rolls Royce basically have the save suspension technology. The difference is the Citroen is actually a good deal for the money.

There is a reason why rolls royce and bentley doesn't do it that way. Main reason is that in this way if a road has bumps then most people would still keep on speeding which defeats the purpose of bumps. But the other reason is that it kills driver engagement. So if an old person (people who usually buys rolls royces) drives over a road with potholes he wouldn't know about the damage he's causing to his car until he gets the feels in the steering.

Now try the same test after 3 years. The glass won't move and the car won't either. It's so bad quality that it's cheaper to by a new one than to repair all the things that's wrong with the car.
