When we arrived in Kashgar, we wanted to try the best deep west china specialties, except we had already been eating those classic street food dishes for 3 weeks, so we went ever deeper to find super unique stuff. So far on this vlog, I’ve tried and eaten the best street food in Hong Kong, Street food in Guangzhou, Street food in Chengdu, Sichuan, and all around China, and tackling to eat the best street food around the world! However, as soon as I began eating the street food here in deep western China in Kashgar, I couldn’t believe how unique and amazing the flavors were!

The locals are super friendly here, and everything is super cheap, definitely not an expensive place to travel. The locals speak Uighur language, which I cannot, so I got by with Mandarin Chinese. It was truly amazing to come this deep into western china and to taste these super unique street food specialties!
Here are the street food locations in this video:
1) Lamb head soup - AKA Yangtoutang (this was surprisingly delicious, apart from the lung and definitely don’t order the brain!)
2) Homemade Uighur Ice Cream - SO SWEET and delicious! -
3) Ding Ding chopped hand pulled noodles (丁丁炒面)
4) Yangzasui AKA Mixed lamb organ salad - THE BEST street food I tried in this street food video
5) Kebab heaven on the street side at night -

HUGE THANKS to ExpressVPN for offering all Food Ranger viewers 3 months free and 49% off their yearly package using this link: ExpressVPN.com/Thefoodranger . Travelers need ExpressVPN to stay safe online and to unblock any site. I personally use it for Netflix, even while at home in Canada, but also while traveling to unblock content and episodes that are geoblocked, and I also use it for security, because airport wifi and hotel wifi is often very insecure, leaving my data vulnerable. By connecting to one of their servers around the world, it’s just like my computer or phone is in that location, and all data sent while connected to their VPN is secure, safe, and private from others to see, so I know that my data won’t be hacked or looked at by others. Thanks so much for watching, and we have tons more videos coming up for you! Please leave me a comment below letting me know what you thought about this episode, thanks so much!!!

Hi, first, I've seen pretty much all your vids. I love seeing the food that you show us, but I hope you could share your thoughts about weather or not China's unique food culture will be affected when the global pandemic is over. Do you think that china may be forced to implement new hygiene measures. And would that affect the economy of the big chinese food markets. I'll be gutted if it does as I would love to tour china like you do and try new foods. You have my dream job.

next time when you buy something say it like this 'yi ge bao zhi or any food item with a nod'. This makes it less awkward and might cause fewer misunderstandings as they might think you want to sample one instead of buying one. Just a tip haha

MAxwell Yin That is mandarin, no such language called chinese and most of them do speak mandarin. Every province and even city in china has their own dialect much different from mandarin. In country areas older people usually have trouble speaking Mandarin. The main purpose of using Mandarin as the official language is for ppl around the nation to be able to understand each other. e.g.people from Beijing can not understand the Shanghai dialect, not even a bit.
@maxwellyin9794

Hi, what you said is absolutely true for the most cases, but expect Xinjinag and Tibet as far as i knew. Uyghur and Tibetan people have their own languages, not just a dialect. In bigger cities of those provinces mandarin is still widely spoken, but in rural areas that Trevor been to, people are less educated and majority of them really don't speak Mandarin.

As drunk and weird as he looked, it's much more complicated to liquidize/launder USD in China... So if he was planning to rub Trevor, he'd rather prefer RMB....

I really like how you explain what the dish is and how you can say it the native tongue. I've watched other channels on street foods and they let you know where they are in the world and show you really good local food, but lack to mention what type of dish is being prepared, name of dish, ingredients used to make it.

The dark lung is just the liver. In my language, some synonyms to liver translate as black or dark lung. Бел дроб (Bel drob) = Lung Џигер (Dzhigher) = Liver Црн дроб (Crn drob) = Also liver but translated as black lung
