Hi Ellen, I came here to ask the same question. After further thought, I believe I will drop down one or two hook sizes to the corresponding needle size. I’m going to play with this on scrap yarn for a little while and see what I think. I’m currently just a casual knitter who learned continental, and dabbled in crochet a couple decades ago. My knitting is now primarily to keep my arthritic fingers limber (family, friends and the local mission get boatloads of scarves at Christmas). I’ve never been happy with the standard cast-on, bind-off; I’m just giddy over the Chinese Waitress methods, and I haven’t even attempted them yet. 😊

This might be a little late for your purposes, but... it is a mirror to the Chinese Waitress cast-on (which, imho, is the most beautiful cast-on there is). Both produce a beautiful double chain edge. They're reasonably stretchy, too. I use the cast-on now, in place of the long tail cast-on, and now I'll be using this in place of a regular bind off too

Thanks a million. Just tried this out on a sock and it's looking fine. I usually use a crochet hook to bind off with Jenny's. I like this better.
