LazyUnicornXP an animal rescue near my house that kept their chins in tiny cages not even suitable for hamsters. i think they just wanted to get rid of them and i didn’t know much about chins at the time so i thought it was fine. probably explains why he was so cheap

$15?! Oml. I see how he could be $15 since he was kept in a cage a lot like that. A standard grey chinny from a breeder is around $130-170. My chin was $150

Same here cuz they had so many they had to put some in bunny cages... Which aren't even big enough for them They just need them gone for the better of the animals

OMG! I never imagined you'd get a 2nd chin knowing what you said about Merlin. I'm so excited for you. Patience patience patience patience etc. You'll know soon enough but the best thing about having more than one chin is when they call each other. My wife says it's their call of solidarity; an almost moaning bleeping noise Example: "HMMMPH, hmmph, hmmph, hmmph." It's very distinct and when they are sleeping, it's the first thing they'll do when they wake. It's like: "Hey! I'm here. When are you?" My chins even respond when I imitate them!

@@TheChinchillaNotebook how much was the carrier been trying to find one late that. Can't find one. The one I have is a cat carrier and he chews the plastic. So I don't want him to have it anymore

Omg so exciting! Can’t wait to see how the bonding process goes:) I adopted two surrendered chinchillas a flare months ago. They are a mom & daughter bonded pair though so thankfully they adore each other! I hope Merlin & Zorro can do the same :)

You paid for quality and that chin must have a great heritage and great features to be more than the usual 300 for a mosaic. Love that you got a mosaic. Maybe a violet or dark velvet in the future years?!! ;)

The breeder I got my two chinchillas from is a good friend of my mom so I got them really cheap :) btw Your new Chinchilla is sooo cute 💗

Aw, he's so adorable~ That price though and here I thought the nearly 200 I spent on mine was a lot but then again yours has a really nice mutation and i'm sure he'll be a wonderful chinnie~ I want to get another one as well but one i'd need another cage and there aren't any breeders or stores with any chinchillas around here currently.

I know this sounds crazy but if you want to bond them fast you take them for a drive together put them together in a travel bag and they will bond I've always had success doing that you cant be scared to do it it will work I've been breeding them for 10 years and tell my customers to do that and not once have I had a customer tell me they had an issue doing it this way
