The game was released on November 7,1989. I remember seeing it undergoing test marketing in San Francisco where they actually filmed the TV commercial for it. The game was released during the height of the RR Craze of 1989 & just a week before SMB. 3's US release. I have both '89 NES classics!

@JumpingKentFlash Games such as the ones you listed should go for significantly less than 10 for the cartridge only. most you could find for 5 or less if the seller is nice. Boxed, i'm not quite sure, but i wouldn't doubt if if you could find all those for 10 each or less.

All you would need to do is download apps like NESticle (for the NES) and ZSNES (for the super Nintendo) and download the roms (which you can find on LimeWire or BitTorrent) and you should be able to play them on your computer.

It's to show that it's possible to beat the game this way if you had superhuman reflexes. Speedrun probably isn't a fair name for it, but it's still the fastest way to beat it without "real" cheats.
