Chipping with onboard dust extractor: sucks or nah?

Very interesting, thanks for the investigation. Seeing that the shroud comes off, there is probably room for an aftermarket shroud better suited to a chisel bit. I'm thinking something like a vaccum cleaner crevice tool, so you're getting max airflow as close to the tip as practicable. I run a Starmix H Class extractor normally for cup grinding etc. While the adaptor may perform ok, I'm thinking zip tie the hose to depth stop might be a good work around too. Better yet would be a more stable bracket that clips in where the cordless DE does. I'm going to have a bit of time this week to test that.

I think this dust extractor is more for drilling. It could be great, indoors when working in customer's nice home.

Indeed. Even in a not very nice home, jist keeping the parts per million in the environment down. Preempt osha. An operator may have appropriate ppe, but invariable somebody turns up on site without a respirator. Also just maintaining a clean site makes workflow better. Even outdoors, stopping the neighbours freshly hung up washing getting coated in invisible RSP is probably a smart move.
