If that car he's driving isn't product placement, I'll eat it on toast and mayo. Notice he had the headlights on for much of the chase but they're off and the covers down just in time for a splash in the mud that would probably be easier to clean up that way. I hope it was at least sold off as a "program car" rather than a brand-new one.

Where is the LAPD at while all this is going on???😮😮😮 As much as I love CHIPS, I think they spend more time in residential areas than on the highway!!!

Once...it was an episode where these two guys with 'evil assault rifles' lured one of the car officers (I forgot the character's name) to a remote field by making a false report. The officer walked away from the car, and the two guys opened up on the car with their rifles. I don't remember if backup came, or it was just the one officer, but once they ran out of ammo, a gun, or guns, was/were drawn to arrest the guys by CHiPs officer(s). Maybe Kristian Konspiracy can dig that episode up??

culcune it was officer barista he is the only character to draw his weapon on the show and he does so only three times once in series one again in series two and finally in series 4 (the ambush incident your referring to is in season 2) and In answer to your other comment yes backup did come in the form of poncho and Jon but they did not draw their weapons
