i just acquired an vintage 34mm cricket from vulcain, compared to those Adolf Schild movement based alarm watches , including TUDOR's original alarm watch movement (basically inaudible in noiser indoor or normal outdoor environment) , those vintage era vulcain alarm are truly Very loud. i mean those with special 4 longer holes secondary caseback which helps improve the sound . some of the new modern vulcain dont have those old vintage parts for esthetic reasons (or may just replicate them to look similar but functionally is weakened) or due to need to have display glass caseback.

the vulcain cricket modern version is just an enlarged version of the vintage versions. it just looks bigger from the front

I would put a mirror surrounding circle on dial edges inside and color on the end of hour and minute hands to make time read easier and that would look cool.

I purchased the Boldr, and while I really like the watch overall, I can't understand the choice of the antireflective coating and the blue tint. It really reduces the impact of the musou black paint.

Ah. That makes sense as to why many people are saying it isn't as black as advertised on their website. I wasn't too sure why they'd go as far as to advertise such a unique color, when they wouldn't be able to deliver. What's your overall take on the watch? I'm thinking about purchasing one.

Wow, that actually does sound a lot like a cricket. While I think they are neat, I see these more as a novelty. If I'm spending that much, I'm frankly getting a Tudor or entry Omega or something. I may be doing just that pretty soon. We shall see.
