Hi! Thank you for sharing!🌺 Haiti (or rather Ayiti) is the Arawak (Native Indian) word for mountainous land. Love my ancestry. Cruises will not give a good sense of land as you saw based on your experience in Jamaica. The best experience would be to go by plane and stay on resort and get guided tours. Continuing & learning to be more comfortable with my place in the world and being a good, balanced person to myself and others.

It makes me think of delicate Victorian lace.💖🤍💜✨I could definitely relate to what you were saying about lost friendship & how other friendships were strengthened. In my own life, I’ve also seen God bring new friends to me from some of the most unexpected places/sources to surpass whatever I might have thought I’d lost initially. Sometimes, we have to learn to surrender & allow God to remove certain people from our life (which can actually be His protection for us, even though we may not realize it at the time) before He will move & bring the abundant blessing of others to fill that vacancy. And it may take a little while before He brings those new friendships, requiring us to trust & lean on Him more during the in-between time, but He makes it worth it. And like you, I continue to pray for the person that God removed from my life, as I’m concerned about this person’s relationship with the Lord. They are “religious”, but yet don’t seem to care about what God’s Word says about anything, & has closed ears to any discussion about the things of God. All I can do is love that person from afar & continue to pray for God to intervene in their life somehow. 🙏🏻One of my 2022 goals was to dig deeper into God’s Word to try & understand Him & His character even more, & I definitely feel He’s been showing me & growing me in that area. For 2023, I have that same goal/desire. One resource that has really been helping me personally is the Blue Letter Bible (both online & the phone app), as it has a concordance feature where you can look at each word/phrase in a verse in the original language, view its specific meaning within proper Biblical context, cross-reference easily with other usages in scripture, as well as view doctrinally sound commentaries (some also have audio and/or related sermons) just to name a few features. I had been using this resource off & on for many years, but really have made a point to use it consistently to study scripture on a deeper level so as to gain deeper understanding. 📖✝️ I gotta’ say, that maps & timelines book looks amazing! 😊👍 I also desire to have deeper understanding in particular about Biblical end-times prophecy (that found throughout scripture including the book of Revelation). Hey DJ, condolences to you and your family. Thanks for sharing your life update. I have a book similar to that that I got to use as a reference when I was in ministry school. It’s filled with some good information.

I’m sorry for the loss of your loved ones, and send my condolences to you and your family. I actually cut off a friend years ago and want to reconnect. It was an ex boyfriend who I stayed friends with but I had to stop talking to him to finish getting over him 100%. I was very hurt and back then the thought of him getting married to someone else would have been so painful to me because he didn’t want to marry me because his family wouldn’t approve of me because I am from a different culture. Fast forward 5 years and I’ve BEEN over him in a romantic sense. BUT he was one of my true blue friends even though he wasn’t interested in me for a life partner, so I want to reconnect to rekindle a friendship ONLY. ❤ Also I lost a friendship a few years ago. I knew her since we were 11 years old! I cared for her a lot, but even back then she always made me feel like I was not as appreciated as her other friends. She carried that into our late 20s, and I got tired of it. She would only contact me to invite me to some kind of party or celebration of hers, but would 100% ignore me at all other times. Didn’t even reply to any of my texts whatsoever. I’m open to rekindling a friendship with her one day, but she’ll have to come back on her own, apologize and say she’s going to stop being rude and ignoring me. I miss our friendship, but I won’t be reaching out. I deserve respect, and that’s a 2 way street. ✌🏼
