Im a fellow 30+ skate rat gone grappler, and who i am now is a different person. Dont drink/smoke Cold plunge/sauna Prioritize sleep Yoga/mobility/primal movements Compound lifts. I lived for boozed up frontside grinds. These days i look forward to kimura traps to triangle chokes. Different tricks, same stoke. The benefits of jiu jitsu have started to outweigh the inevitable pains of skateboarding which is just the sad truth. I feel like a damn superhero these days with all these changes ive made. Anyone considering grappling I highly recommend it.
