It depends on where you live in the world. The CDC for the United States is one organization that determines the best antibiotic choice for chlamydia and that is published on their website. Ultimately people should always discuss this with their provider as some people have contraindications to various meds and also may require a different drug regimen. Take care!

Antibiotics are used to kill various types of bacteria. Dosages and routes all depend on the medication and the disease. Take care.

No problem! Unfortunately there has only been a handful of studies looking at female to female transmission, but most studies find that female to female transmission is more common especially in women with multiple partners. Hope this helps!

Treatment varies on a persons history, age, allergies, etc… PID usually required different treatment than simply treating chlamydia.

I recentely had sex and a day or so I started getting body aches. The bend in my arm has this sensation like I've been working out and it hurts. It feels like I have *incontenence* and can't seem to hold my urine. I have pressure build up around my waist and I'm having shortness of breath. I get a little light headed and my body just hurts. Do you know if that's chlamydia??

Well if he has chlamydia he needs to be treated because if you are a female it could potentially cause you to become sterile. I would not be with a man like that if he is willing to risk your health.

@@ashleyrohman7162 Doxycycline or Azithromycin is usually the treatment, but sometimes providers will treat for both Gonorrhea and Chlamydia which requires the injectable combined with either doxy or azithromycin. Hope this clarifies things a bit.

I have right testical discomfort… really not to the level of pain but that’s it… no discharge no cloudy pee and no other symptoms….. been with the same girl for multiple years….. so no infidelity but once at a strip club I got a coochie rub on my face and I’m pretty sure I felt her wetness on my lip…. What you think???

It’s always wise to get checked just in case. Typically men don’t have very many symptoms. Also there are other conditions that can cause testicular pain. Definitely follow up with your provider to get a formal exam and testing if needed. Take care!

Hey what if I thought I was exposed on February 20th and I took a test on the 24th of February and it was negative then I took a second test 3 days after that one was negative then I took a test 30 days later on march 22nd and I was negative, so do you think I’m Good? Did I let it incubate for long enough or did I take them too early I mean from feb 20th to march 22 it should be able to detect that right? ( also no symptoms btw)

The incubation time is 1 to 2 weeks right? Did I take my 3 tests too early or do you think I’m all Good? I mean I pretty much waited a month to take my 3rd test jus in case, feb20th -march 22, the 20th being the day of supposed exposure

30 days after exposure should be plenty of time to detect chlamydia with the appropriate test. Yet, always chat with your provider to discuss what is going on. Thanks for watching!

@@hawkshealth thank you so much I’ve been eating myself alive with this crap man I appreciate your response but ya all my tests were done by my doctor and he said they were all Good but this thought keeps coming back to haunt me, I’ve never had symptoms at all and I don’t now but it’s prolly jus my anxiety lmao

@@hawkshealth but ya my doctor sent the tests to the the lab and the results were negative 3 times so I’d think that those would be the appropriate tests, couldn’t Get any better than that right?
