Then by Feb, 2024 his irritation got bad. i had a check up in Feb, 2024 and I was positive for Chlamydia. They treated him and symptoms when away and be both retested negative several weeks after treatment. I read and listened to to doctor who said it possible to get chlamydia from needles and a transfusion, but i can't remember the site. His doctors said, no you didn't get it through a transfusion. I read that the blood banks only ask sexual history and do not test the blood for Chlamydia. I was asymptomatic. Many donors are young college students, who might not know they have a sti. I didn't either. From what I've read they don't test for Chlamydia in blood because they verbally screen clients and Chlamydia is easily treated. Even though my person is doing well after the transplant, there could be reason again he needs more transfusions. I just don't want to be blamed on giving him chlamydia again since he is the only one I'm with. I know the medical community does not want to put this possibility out there to scare people, about getting a std infection through blood. I know this is a very rare situation, but what are your thoughts.
