This has to be the most beautiful, intimate yet classy illustration of their love. As the viewer you understand fully without having to see it all. This movie was refreshing and gave insight to a time and place in Korea we that's long passed. Bravo to the Lead actors who portrayed this with such skill and beauty on so many levels. In short: I'm in love. 💞💞

Such a hugely different and mature character here than in Hospital Playlist. Amazing acting!!! Some of these Korean and Chinese actors really set a much higher bar for acting excellence than the Hollywood actors.

You can say that again. Would rather watch a K drama or movie any day as opposed to the garbage that’s been coming out of Hollywood the last 20yrs. SK actors are far superior IMHO. The storylines, have much more depth, so many layers, it’s like peeling an onion, I am rarely disappointed.

I agree. My only complaint is that most of the time, the endings are blehh. But the plots and twists and turns really get you.

@@jaydee757coco yes I must admit the endings are very average, but the actors can only do what the script says. They still have their ‘honourifics’ and I doubt that they have enough pull with their celebrity status, to change the ending?

Jo Jung Suk is such a great actor and Shin Se Kyung responds well to his acting. You can see from SSK acting how in love she is with the King but hurting inside because of the pain of losing her loved ones, thus resulting to her revenge.

I'm 💯% addicted to these Korean series🙇🙆🏻🧐😌 At first I was sceptic to watch.. Don't dare to dream also quite nice..same actor (captivating the king) Looove these Korean series😍👌🏼👏🏼👍🏼

I've already written that this series really captivates me. I haven't felt that way for a long time... maybe because it's a damn good script? because it is a very good acting performance. But this scene is perfect, yes! but she would have been a dream if he had opened her hair in front of the camera :D her beautiful long hair.

The producers and writers have left the story of the king’s sexuality open to different interpretations. So this is just your opinion, not necessarily everyone else’s. There are other interpretations, too.

It's rare that a ML lead acts like him. Normal is: "Oh I'm the man , you have to do what I want and to be happy I choose you cause I'm straight." *Irony off* He is really able to let those attitudes and show us in fine nuances of expressions how his role, the king, felt about her, from shy, anxious how she reacts to him, soft, he shows how vulnerable the king was and she (FL) could verry good response to that. The king were fine with that even she were a real guy cause he loved the person without knowing the real gender. We saw not much skin or adult stuff it depends all of showing this feelings. I think that drama will be more a sucsess in western countrys cause of the Asia standards and double-standards there will some koreans and other asians have a problem with. 🤔

Jo Jung Sok is probably making sure he did his best in this show to justify his high fees, so he can give discount to the hospital playlist team if season3 comes back ❤ he actually voluntarily reduce much of his fees for hospital playlist team for their existing 2 seasons because he wanted to work with the talented Shin Pd and writer Lee woo Jung.
