nag base lang po ako thru looking sa photo nung donut. If may mali akong nagawa at di talaga ganito po please let me know po😊
*you can lessen the sugar in making of the filling and streusel if you want to reduce the sweetness😊
Masarap po siya sabi ng mga kapitbahay namin! 😂
yield: 28 to 30 pcs. donut
chocolate donut ingredients:
500 grams bread flour
50 grams milk powder (1/2 cup)
50 grams cocoa powder (1/2 cup)
10 grams instant dry yeast (2 tsp.)
1 and 1/4 cup water (320 ml.)
1/2 tsp salt
80 grams sugar (mali po yung nasa video sorry, the amount of sugar written in the video was suppose for 1 kilo of flour.
70 grams margarine or butter (1/3 cup)
chocolate filling:
1/2 cup cocoa powder (50 grams)
1 cup sugar (200 grams)
1 can evaporated milk (370 ml)
6 tbsp. cornstarch dilluted in water
2 tbsp. margarine or butter
chocolate glaze:
1 and 1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup boiling water
you can add coffee powder
for Streusel:
50 grams cocoa powder (1/2 cup)
50 grams milk powder (1/2 cup)
100 grams sugar (1/2 cup)
oil for frying

Yung filling po ba eh di titigas na parang maja blanca? At hindi po ba sobrang tamis kasi layers of sugar po halos lahat? Tapos po makunat po ba sya kasi at the end of the video nung hinati nyo po parang makunat tingnan?

*Continue stirring po para di mamuo at maging smooth ang texture nung filling at add ng butter sa huli, kalasa po siya at ka texture ng chocolate icing ng goldilocks if done right po. Ginagamit ko po itong recipe na pang coat din ng mga cakes basta po tama procedure maganda ang kakalabasan *pwede po kayo mag bawas ng sugar sa filling at streusels, wag lang po sa dough at sa glaze kasi mag iiba ang ratio ng dough tapos kukulangin naman yung glaze. *medyo na over fry ko po yung isang sides na naipakita kong piece sa video kaya medyo mukhang makunat. Malambot po yung recipe ng dough if again done right😊 I hope I answered your question po😊 *ang pinakamagandang bawasan po ng sugar ay yung streusel,pwede na siyang hindi lagyan first time ko po ginawa itong recipe kaya di ko naadjust pinaghalo halo ko lang po according sa mga recipe ko pero sabi naman ng mga nakakain di naman po katamisan😊

If you’re wondering why there is so much sugar, the sugar in the dough is only used for the yeast to consume so the dough can rise there will still be sugar but it won’t be too sweet. So if you want to lessen the sugar do it with the filling.

I've been looking for this recipe for a very long time since visiting Kawasan Falls. It was so good that I bought about 10 from the vendor and got to sit and chat with him while eating. It brings back fond memories of the place. Glad I don't have to travel far just to hoard these. Thank you so much for uploading this!!

Maybe have as a main course, on a plate with a steak knife & fork and side of whipped cream. I ate just one tiny square of dark chocolate while i learned this recipe! Maybe gobble up a cup of the chilled filling, for certain.

Just finished making this and it turned out very good! A little time consuming but so worth it! Not too sweet, but very decadent! The donut by itself was very soft and delish! Thank you for sharing this recipe!

I made these in the middle of the night and i finish it only after 3 AM worth every work hahah super yummy!! Tamang tama lang ung sweetness nya not overwhelming i suggest adding coffee also sa filling para lalong sumarap 😊 Ps: I only did half of the recipe and it yielded 17 pcs

I made these. They were so good! Perfect for those who loves chocolate. I really want to try baking the doughnuts instead of frying because I've always find it difficult to fry baked goods in oil. I always burn it 😅 Has anyone tried baking them instead?

We tried this kind of choco donut when we visited kawasan falls in Cebu. May nagbebenta along the way going sa falls, and this one is so good. Masarap sya, mejo messy nga lang kainin but still masarap. ❤

I've been in kawasan falls in cebu. I totally recommended the place. Its really wonderful and lots of foreigners coming. Although you need to walk for about 45 minutes or more, its still worth it. Too bad, I was only in 1st falls 😢 but if you want to go up more you can ask the tour guide. They will assist you very well. I forgot how many falls are their 😅

I worked po sa Cebu for a while and was able to eat choco lanay.. in bisaya lanay means melted.. yung natikman ko was always hot and the chocolate oozes from the inside as you bite at it, what makes it distinct from other pinoy bread po is yung cocoa powder + sugar filling is still quite gritty pa pero in a good way. masarap sya im sure masarap to though 😊 will try this kung kalasa nong choco lanay na na try ko few years ago.. keep up the great content po.. more power

OMGGGGGGGGG DAGHAN SALAMATTTT!! I'm from Zamboanga City and ever since my trip from Cebu specifically when we went to kawasan falls last November 2021 I'm still craving for this donut. In my opinion if I was given the option between dunkin, krispy kreme or this one? I'll choose this any time of the week. Goshh I still remember the first bite, we were just finishing our long hike from the most heavenly place kawasan was when we encountered Manong with his Bilao filled with this chocolate powdered not so mini donuts and he had a chocolate sauce inside a plastic ketchup container. At first I was hesitant because I was not so fond of sweets but when I took the first bite it was so delicious I had to order another, it was freshly cooked and to my surprise kuya said it's unli filling with just a pinch of his ketchup container filled with choco syrup it was magical✨ He really completed that once in a lifetime trip, I only pray he's still there? Because it was before the super typhoon hit cebu and I saw the damages and I was deeply saddened, I hope Cebu will make a speedy recovery because I'm planning to bring my family and get the experience I got before. Again thank youu for sharing this recipeee!!

I love that you're using milk powder. I've always thought there needs to be some way to use it in baking/desserts, but I could never find anything. This looks delicious and I'll definitely try this for my birthday. No better gift for myself:D

I tried this earlier and it is seriously delicious. It is not that sweet for me. One factor would be that I substituted a bit of powdered sugar, in the glaze, with cornstarch. Another thing would be to not too much filling. It's worth the time and effort to make. Eating in moderation is really something that we always have to keep in mind.

I’ve been to Kawasan Falls twice but never got to taste this hehe! Looks yummy though. 😃 you can see this being displayed beside the road along with other souvenirs made from coconut shells.

Tried the filling, promise sobrang sarap!! Ung maglalock at maglalaway panga mo sa unang kagat kasi nga masarap sya. Nagtry ako ng dough using cocoa na nabibili sa palengke, ung tingi, advice ko na wag nyo gamitin yon kasi hindi sya nahahalo plus, ang pangit ng lasa nya.

Anna Olson once said: Do not add the salt, not until you have let the yeast set in to the mixture and feed on the sugar. The salt kills the yeast activity and may damage the quality of your dough.

Since hand knead po siya tiningnan ko kung enough na o pwede na yung elasticity ng dough. Kung mabilis pong mapunit ay matigas at mabigat ang kakalabasan po lalo na kung lumamig.

@@cylltndn7935 hi there! Just wanted to share something 🥺 As a common knowledge, there are around 120 to 175 languages in the Philippines. In the city of Manila, the use of mixed language (i.e. Engalog and Taglish) is prevalent. Many says that the two mixed language are the same but my college professor who is a Filipino major says that there's a difference between the two. Engalog contains more English while Taglish contains more Tagalog. As a clarification, the language that Sunshine David used is called Engalog. That doesn't justify your assertion that "Seems Tagalog is so poor you have to use English to substitute your thoughts" 😉 Hope it's another knowledge learned for everyone 😄

wow thanks for creating a vid that's sooo detailed. I've eaten this with my siblings after a very long trek at the Kawasan Falls in Badian. I LOVED IT SO MUCH BUT SADLY UBUSAN ANG DONUTS NA TO DUON AND WE HAD ONLY BOUGHT A FEW :(

This looks amazing! I will be trying this sometime soon but since I'm just one person, I would have to quarter this recipe. I usually don't like watching long cooking videos but yours was done very professionally and very well done! I also appreciate that you had a little music in it but it was so low that it didn't distract me from paying attention to what the video was all about. Hate when other channels put obnoxiously loud music in their videos. Thank you for sharing!

here's some tips sa iba kung gusto nyo mas mabilis ung pag lagay ng filling so usually they use a squeez bottle with a verylong nozzle. They put the filling inside the squeez bottle then they make pasok the nozzle inside the Doughnut (no need to cut the doughnut) after they make pasok the nozzle they wiggle first before they squeez it thats all 😁😁😁

I've made this and it's not that sweet because of the streusels. It was bittersweet, perfect for my dark chocolate craving. The filling was just right. i was thinking it was really sweet but not at all. My family didn't love it coz it was too bitter (they're not into dark cocoa) for them but I love the balance.

Sugar for the glaze and dust coating can be lessened if you it to be overly sweet, because the choco filling itself will carry in the flavor
