My mom would LOVE this! When she was young, she hardly ever ate anything sweet. But since her 60s, it’s her main food group. And if it’s chocolate- winner, winner, chicken dinner! She thinks she being “healthy” for eating oatmeal cookies for breakfast. 😳. But at almost 80, she’s earned the right to eat as she wants.

EXACTLY STEPHANIE !! MY MOM IN LAW WOULDNT LET HER DAD HAVE HIS FAVORITE FRENCH BREAD DIPPED IN BACON GREASE...SHE AND THE DR. SAID HE SHOULDN'T JEOPARDIZE HIS HEALTH...HE WAS IN HIS MID 80's...I SAY HE HAS LIVED THIS LONG LET HIM EAT WHAT HE WANTS....NOW MY MOM IN LAW IS DOING THAT TO HER HUSBAND, NOW THEY'RE IN THEIR MID 80's.....MAKES ME MAD (LOL)....LET THEM EAT WHAT THEY WANT CUZ THEY WON'T BE HERE FOREVER 😉😁😁😁

To honor our Southern Magnolias Grandmothers is a beautiful thing. I bought some Ghiradelli cocoa a few weeks ago and this looks like a great way to put it to good use. My mom used to make a tomato aspic for summer, still have her handwritten recipe card.

Actually just made this after watching this video. I too use my countertop oven instead of my free standing oven for most of my baking etc. Very unusual that I have everything I need, but this time I did. Was so ready for this dessert. The last 15-20 times I used my oven was to bake and warm Walmart Brand onion rings! Needless to say the pie crust and pie tasted like onion rings! Think I need to give it a cleanse and try it again.

Looks great! I have a similar recipe that uses yolk only. Then use the whites for meringue topping. I have a neighbor that calls meringue “calf slobber”.

This pie is amazing! I made it with your video, so fun!!!! So easy. We are starting a low sodium diet tomorrow, so wanted something special tonight. This has to be delicious. It is like my favorite brownie recipe, except my brownie recipe calls for 1/2 cup flour. Please encourage your viewers to get an inexpensive oven thermometer. My last 2 ovens ran 25 degrees hotter than indicated. Brownies, or brownie-like pies, can over bake fast. Love your show.
