I definitely think chocolate lolita is its own substyle! I know quite a few Lolita’s whose wardrobes are just chocolate dresses!

I vote chocolate lolita as a substyle under sweet, but it definitely deserves it's own label! However, that mean girls quote "stop trying to make it happen. It's not going to happen" goes through my head 😂😂

As a Classic Lolita, I always found it strange that an all brown coord would be claimed as Sweet Lolita? I wore a chocolate theme to Paradiso one year and everyone I talked to could instantly tell I liked classic things? Idk it defiantly hits that substyle you could work into either, like country lolita? Tho now I want to see a Gothic Chocolate coord!

Personally, i think chocolate lolita is under sweet lolita because it just makes sense to me. Chocolate = sweet, candy, whatever. 🥰 Although, I can see it as its own substyle as well!

I think chocolate lolita is a theme within sweet style. I have the Musee du Chocolat salopette in cream and at first I thought it skewed more classic because of the printed design, but it's still pretty short in the skirt which makes it sweet. I love brown and I waited a million years for that same brown cardigan to get back in stock in my size.

i think chocolate lolita is somewhere between sweet and classic lolita! it definitely has themes of sweet lolita, but the colors are reminiscent of classic!

I feel like chocolate lolita doesn't have to be sweet to be chocolate as I feel like some chocolate prints definitely pull hard classic at times, so I'd argue it's a motif, but it's an iconic motif that it's basically substyle status also someone mentioned gothic chocolate lolita in a comment and now I need to see it
