For me, it came down to Samael: Ceremony of Opposites versus Cradle of Filth: Dusk and Her Embrace, with Cradle for the win. The result even surprised me. The list on the left was so much better and harder to choose than the right.

Solid choices overall! For me the one "WTF?" moment was Akhlys not going further. I shed a single tear.

@@Questformetal Have you heard Aoratos' 'Gods Without Name'? Side project from the same dude. IMO better than the new Akhlys album, but not quite on the level of The Dreaming I.

the album going against Macabre Omen in round 1 is from a (now defunct) band called Necros Christos. they had a blackened death sound that leaned much more toward black than death, good stuff. The album is called Triune Impurity Rites

Another great video! whoever came up with those matchups is an asshole haha, so many impossible choices. Summoning vs Caladan Brood is insanely hard to pick! That one was probably the toughest as I went through this, but so many were crazy hard

These are great questy. Could choose a different album each time I do this but I think my winner would be a blaze in the northern sky. Be cool to see a doom/funeral doom/death doom one of these.

Although The Dreaming I by Akhlys is absolutely menacing, I prefer the newer release, Melinoe.

Im new to the channel, but I really like your thoughts and perspectives of bands and music in general. Great two videos and a good choice for the winner, even thought I’m not a huge fan of Emperor myself. The bands I listen to the most are Sytris, Useless, Xaos Oblivion, Mgla, Plaga, Baptism, Is, Svartheim, Antimateria and Eldamar (and a whole lot of other bm). It would be very interesting to hear your thoughts on some of those bands (I know you talked about Mgla), especially Sytris who is my favorite band. Have a nice day!

Love eldamar thats my favourite style of bm along with drudkh, nokturnal mortum, windir and the like. Will certainly be delving deeper into other bands too with more videos to come. Cheers

Bathory: Blood Fire Death VS Marduk: Opus Nocturne. My Winner Bathory. If It was Emperor: In The Nightside Eclipse It would have made the Final.

Emperor band is awesome! But for some reason their cds are hard to get off Amazon tried to get some rare cd called In the Night side Eclipse they said it wasn't available on their site !

I couldn't really participate as I am not as well versed in black metal, especially the classics as other subgenres but I did have fun with some other brackets on the site, so thanks :D Although having to choose between The Bleeding and The Jester Race was not so fun haha

6:44 Lmfaooooooo. To be honest, it’s not that bad because Evilfeast is a masterful band as well. One of my all time favourite atmospheric black metal band. But against Mütiilation aka the greatest band of all time, it doesn’t stand a chance in my humble opinion 😆. Anyway, great video as always. Keep up the good work.
