People throwing away their troops over the worst continent will never not be funny

I had a caps game where I got gifted with a greedy neighbor that decided to send all of their extra troops I gave them into my boarder leaving me with nothing. I decided to keep them weak the entire game allowing a player on the other side of the board to get massive. When the massive player got to our side of the board I managed to negotiate second and had the pleasure of watching them kill my greedy neighbor.

Players botting out after being slammed into by an extremely aggressive player, instead of retaliating against them, just screws over the whole board.

When I wake up early, I can always count on having something to watch on KZfaq because Pete uploads at 4am in Colorado 🙌

It amazes me how the vast majority of the time, all of your opponents almost always have 10-trades. Give it enough turns, and that's an almost insurmountable situation--4 or 5 players getting dozens more troops than you? It's just an inevitable meat grinder, especially when paired with them losing very few if any troops on low-% rolls. I see it happen often with Kylted too.

I just won a very coordinated and respectful game against 3 experts, a master, and a grandmaster. I wish every lobby was like that. I started filtering out beginners and novices because they always ruin my game with some stupid shit..

Although I probably would have played it differently I do kinda understand why blue took you out. You asked him to attack red. He did Attack red then you didnt respond with an attack on red but instead just took a card and passed. That shows him you are going for 1st even after he took action for you and you didnt respond to that action. At that point I think he was playing for 1st and probably kinda annoyed at you for not taking action against red. Again I probably would have played it differently by letting you live with just the 1 territory, but I do kinda see the logic behind him taking you out before red.

In regards to game theory, I believe if you increase the complexity and possible decision choices in say a larger map, with additional such as portals/blizzards you’ll find fewer instances of stalemates, since FFA games often revolve around avoiding large mistakes or blunders rather than genius moves. Harder to make a huge mistake in checkers than it is in chess. Classic fixed probably has the fewest opportunities for novices to make mistakes save for some of the smaller maps

Just played a game you would be proud of Pete, made every kill ( not chained ), made me so powerful the grandmaster at the end just stepped off cap not wanting to fight. I felt like thanos and I'm not ashamed to say I shouted I AM INEVITABLE. wonder what my neighbours think lol

Annoying that people actually say that you're not that good in a non piss taking manner, as much as strategy and skill are a thing even the best player can get fucked by the dice and by the cards, granted it doesn't happen to you all that often, but that in itself shows how good of a player you are in just how well you can proof your game against the RNG elements, the fact that it still does happen despite that kinda exemplifies the point though.

Been in that frustrating position a few times, if I moan about it though people always say it must have been your own fault in some way but it just isn't the case, sometimes you get those games where you just can't do anything about scum play

About purple quitting: You're completely right with your view on retaliation. With a degree in philosophy you probably know more about Game Theory than I do, but JBP's episode with Robert Sapolsky on his show was a gem for me. It might be something you find interesting as well.

And blue almost costing himself a win against a bot bc he was focused on you after almost getting himself killed by doing the Aussie noob slam. 🤣 This game was like every example of noob fuckery imaginable and I loved it. Talking about strategy - was wondering why you didn't kill white (7 troops) for 3 cards instead of antagonising yellow in South America - not usually your style to make a war over a +2 so seemed weird
