Canadian Prototype Long Ross Rifle Bayonet, rumoured to be lost around Kingston, ON…

I love all of my bayonets, but I would say my Holy Grail is a volunteer pattern sword-bladed socket bayonet, presumably manufactured by Britain around the end of the eighteenth century or very early nineteenth century. 175 of them were discovered in a warehouse in London, sometime in 1927, all of which Francis Bannerman purchased and later sold as surplus. Outside of this, nothing else is really known about them (such as what rifle/musket it was intended for, and whether it was intended for cavalry units or infantry), since the markings yield nothing concrete and there are no existing records. This beauty continues to mystify and intrigue collectors everywhere!

The grail bayonet is the one bayonet just around the corner that you don’t know (yet) you just GOT to have, because you haven’t seen it yet. Until then, my Finnish M/28-30 has to suffice. Bad ass bayonet that comes from an equally tough people…! Thank you for a good channel 😊

I've got my eye on a 28-30 right now, I'm very tempted 😅

@@pointynotsharp8436 Hello again. Pull the trigger, you won’t regret it. I Got mine with its original frog of a guy who bought it from a Finnish lady cleaning up after her Granddad had passed away. They found the bayonet in his deathbed….. The M/28-30 has its querks and a short handle, but I Think it incorporates so much of the resistance and soul of the Finnish people and Their struggle for freedom - also at that particular time…! Stay safe and take care of your loved ones 🇩🇰 🎗 🇦🇺 🎗 🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮

My Grail is a Unusual German WW1 KS 98 Pattern Seitengewhr. Not actually a bayonet but rather a Seitengewhr or side arm. There is no mortise slot on the pommel to fix to a rifle. Possibly police issue??? Maker marked by Carl Eickhorn.

The grail bayonet I own is a German made Yatagan Sword Bayonet that fits my 1879 Modelo Argentino RRB Rifle in .439 Spanish centerfire. The one I would like to own is the one from Finland that would fit my 1939 Finland SAKO Mosin rifle.

I have been chasing an original Continental (USA) produced bayonet for my Brown Bess. Next would be a very clean sword bayonet for my 1882 dated BSA private purchase Martini Henry rifle in .577-450. The rifle has an officer's name on the stock, below the lever, barely readable, but it is my favorite rifle in my collection. Last is probably an original Springfield Armory experimental M7 bayonet for the M16 family of rifle. I have a video on the one I have but I am certain it is a repro made by SARCO in the '80s.
