Strangely enough, when The Nocturnes are played well... I see visions in my mind of the salons (rooms) in which they might have first been played. I see the ladies' dress. I smell the candles and the leftover food and wine still in the air. I think Chopin learned some kind of secret of how to create pictures of things. And then transmit those pictures into sound/music. A few other composers can do this to varying degrees, but not like Chopin.

Listening to this on earphones is one of the best experiences of all time. The dynamic range classical music carries makes it so unique and perfect that there is no way it will ever die out. The music was made to please the human brain.

This is honestly the best interpretation of this piece that I have seen. As someone who plays this piece, I am always curious as to how different people interpret each part differently and everyone plays such pieces with their own emotions and feelings. This one is most certainly my favorite.

I've heard this being played by so many, many professionals but Erick was the only pianist who delivered with feeling, and the lightest of touches on the trills and even the passage that was meant to be played con forza. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant .....

I agree 100%. He lived long enough to be shown gratitude for his delightful and enchanting work but a mere 39 years - Gosh, what more could Chopin have created if he'd been blessed with kinder health. Thankfully we have some tremendously talented pianists throughout the world who interpret his masterpieces for all of us to enjoy. The first question put to me by my first piano tutor, when I was seven years of age, was, "Which composer do you admire the most?" I obviously said, Chopin. At that, my tutor played a little Chopin for me and being such a young girl and very nervous, I cried!
